I got into the bathing suit that Tara bought then put a pair of high waisted shorts and an unbuttoned white shirt on. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and grabbed a pair of sandals.
"Ready?" I asked the group gathered around the kitchen island. "Almost. We are waiting on Colby." Sam said. "How did you get ready so fast?" Kat asked me. "We were already ready." Corey said. "I don't know. I just put shorts on and a shirt." I shrugged.
"Alrighty! Let's go!" Sam said when Colby finally walked down the stairs. "Girls with me!" Tara yelled walking out the door. I stepped out the door and saw tara jump into a pink convertible car. "Is this yours?" I asked giggling a little. She nodded as me and the girls got in.
"How much were the bathing suits so that I can pay you guys back." I said as we drove off. "Uhhh." Xepher said. "Well. We didn't pay for it." Devyn said nervously. "Who did!" I asked concerned. "It was-" Kat began but Tara cut her off, "we promised him we wouldn't say!" She scolded Kat. "You are kidding right!" I asked laughing a bit in annoyance.
After an hour ride I jumped out of the convertible and ran to the guys car not waiting for the others. "Colby whatever your middle name is Brock." I yelled pulling him out of the back seat by the ear. "His name is Cole Robert Brock." Jake informed me. "Thank you." I snapped.
"How much! How much did it cost!" I yelled at him still holding his ear. "What?" He asked confused. "How much did you give the girls!" I asked "I told you not to say!" He yelled at the girls. "They didn't. I figured it out!" I said to him. "I just wanted to do something nice for you." He defended.
"You brought me to the hospital, you stayed with me when I needed someone, you called your lawyer for me, you bought me clothes, you MADE ME YOUR ROOMMATE BECAUSE I WAS HOMELESS. You were there for me when my family died, YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING MORE!" I scolded.
"I'm not incapable you know?" I said letting go and walking away. "Damn. I've never seen her so wound up." Cassie said to the group. "Give her a moment." Tara said, but who ever was going after me ignored her. "Munchkin!" Jake's voice sounded behind me. "Let's take a walk." I said waving him forward to catch up.
"What's wrong?" He asked. "I've lived most of my life taking care of myself. I don't need him or anyone else thinking that I can't." I snapped. "No one thinks that. I think that he is just trying to say that you don't have to go through it alone. And that he is there for you." Jake said wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"We have another surprise for you when we get back to the group." He said after a few moments of silence. "I'm sorry." I mumbled. "You don't have to be sorry. Your reasons are valid, but maybe just pull him aside later and explain... nicely." Jake said patting my shoulder. "We should get back." I said smiling up at Jake. He nodded and we turned around.
When we made it back to the group Kev was sitting with Colby explaining something. "She's an independent woman, she just not used to it." He said then got quiet when Colby looked up to me. "Hey." I bashfully said to them. "Hey." Colby said quietly. "Listen I'm sorry. It's just I've grown up fighting for myself, I'm just not used to the kindness and the truthfulness of your gifts." I said shyly.
"I get it. Kev kinda explained a lot to me." Colby responded patting a spot next to him between him and Kev. I sat and hugged my brother. "I'm glad I have you guys in my life." I smiled at them. "We are glad to have you." Jake said smiling and sitting on Tara's towel.
The rest of the beach day was fun and calming. Tara vlogged a little and Sam and Colby did as well. But in the background of some Instagram stories me and Colby were a little close.

"Nicky..." Kat whispered worried. "What's up?" I asked looking up from my phone. "I'm so sorry." She apologized. "Don't be. I'm not upset. It was bound to happen." I laughed. She took a deep breath. "I love you." She laughed. "Why?" I asked. "Because anyone else that's dated Colby in the past has freaked out on us for not making sure." She confessed.
"That's terrible." I responded. "The fans haven't really hated on me." I reassured her. I lied I've already got hundreds of death threats, but they truly don't bother me. She nodded and smiled. "You okay Nicky?" Sam asked I nodded and laughed. "I'm good." I told the group. They all relaxed. "Let's get back to partying on the beach!" I changed the subject.
The rest of the afternoon was a lot of fun. We all turned our social media notifications off and disconnected from the fans for a while. "I feel like we are kids again!" Sam said picking Kat up and swirling her around in a circle. "No pressure, no stress, just us having fun." Jake said. "Thank you." Corey said to me lifting me onto his shoulders. As the rest of the group just smiled and nodded.
"What?" I questioned. "You turned your notifications off. We followed in your lead." Tara said smiling up to me. I laughed a little then all of a sudden Corey starts running to the water. A big wave hit us causing Corey to fall with me still on his shoulders. Sam picked me up out of the water and brought me to the towels.
