When We Met: The asylum

I sat and talked with colby as he calmed down. Everyone gave us our space. I cupped Colby face with my hands. "I'm sorry." I whispered to him. "Don't be sorry. I was a good prank. It just sucked to be me." He said laughing a bit. I stuck my bottom lip out at him. "You sure?" I asked. He just chuckled and nodded.

After eating dinner together, the girls and I split from the boys. We went into my room and made a bunch of tiktoks before watching a movie. "Dear John?" Kat asked. "Sure." I agreed not knowing the movie.

"Oh my god! Kat why?" I cried. All of us had tears streaming down our faces. "It's a good movie!" She defended as she wiped tears from her face. "Let's get some ice cream!" I said needing a pick me up, and ice cream would do just that.

We run downstairs and into the garage to the big freezer full of frozen treats. "What's today's date?" I asked out of nowhere. "June 17. Why?" Tara asked. I giggled a little. "Do you guys want to help me do something next week?" I asked smiling ear to ear.

"What is it?" Xepher questioned. "Well my brothers birthday is tomorrow. And I want to fly him out. I have the money to but I want to do a little surprise party here." I said thinking hard about what I want to happen.

"Doesn't kev live out here?" Amber asked. "She has another brother, Steven." Cassie explained. "I'm down." Devyn excitedly replied. The rest of the girls agreed. "Okay so I'm going to send him tickets in the morning for Tuesday. That gives him... today is Thursday... Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to pack and us 5 days to prepare." I say happily.

We go into the theater room and see all the guys watching a scary movie. "Can we join?" I pout. "Yeah!" Sam said as the guys make room on the couches and chairs for us. Colby doesn't move though, instead he just pats his lap. I giggle and cuddle up in his lap.

I don't know about the girls but I fell asleep within 20 minutes. I didn't wake up until the next morning, all the girls were laying next to me in my bed or on my couch that becomes a bed. "Wake up!" I yelled causing the girls to groan. "Please." I begged and that warranted a giggle from Kat and Cassie.

I got out of my bed and ran to my computer to buy the plane tickets. They were a lot cheaper than I expected, hopefully they aren't crappie. I sent the code for the tickets to my brother, and almost immediately got a call from him.

"What the actual fuck!" He yelled the second I answered. "What?" I asked. "Did you really just buy me and jack tickets to LA?" He asked excited. (Jack is his service dog.) "maybe." I said smiling. "I love you." He laughed. "Happy birthday! I miss you. So I decided to fly you out." I giggled. "I miss you too. I have to go pack. I'll talk to you later?" He asked. "Yeah. I'll talk to you later." I replied.

Today my brother gets in from Kansas!! I can't wait to surprise him with this party. His plane lands at 1:30 and it's 11 so I'm going to head to the airport in like 15 minutes. The traffic is going to be terrible. "Baby!" I yelled up the stairs. "What's up?" Colby yelled back. "I'm leaving in 15 to get Steven! I got most of the decorations done. Can you call everyone and have them head over?" I asked him as he walked down the stairs.

"Of course." He smiled at me placing his hand under my chin and kissing me softly. "How am I so lucky?" He asked. I looked at him funny. "I'm just happy you are mine." He said causing me to giggle. "I love you too stoopid." I joked hugging him. He is still on the last step making him tower over me, more than he already does. "Your cute you know that?" He asked. "Why are you being all cutesy?" I asked laughing a bit.

"You make me feel all cutesy inside. That's why!" He said making me laugh hard. He wrapped into a TIGHT hug and started swaying back and forth. "Baby!!" I whined. "Yes baby girl?" He asked still holding tight. "I can't breathe." I joked. "If you can talk you can breathe." He joked back. I rolled my eyes and hugged him back swaying with him. "Dance with me?" He asked loosening his grip.

"There is no music?" I questioned. "So?" He replied. I nodded and we slow danced at the end of the stairs until Jake and Tara came out of the game room and started awing. "Wanna cut in?" I asked looking at them. Jake pushed me out of the way and started to dance with colby. Me and Tara danced together.

"Oh shit I have to go!" I yelled and ran to the car. I got to the airport at 1:28 and saw my brother waiting by the automatic glass doors. "Steven!" I yelled as I ran out of the car. I got his things in the car. Once we were situated in the car I drove back to the house.

"Welcome and happy birthday!!" Everyone yelled as he opened the door. He jumped then laughed. "Thank you!" He yelled back. I introduced him to everyone. The party was a lot of fun. But something was off with Steven the whole time.
