Sol POV
Picking up a sword, I hold it up, feeling comfortable with the weapon in my hand. Although I'm wearing a dress, I don't mind since it isn't restricting, but to be safe, I slash the side of my dress on both sides. Stretching out my legs I smile, before walking over to the arena.
Standing in front of her, I draw my sword, and she does the same. Hoping for the best I hear a deep voice ring through my ear. Seeing a light flash, I quickly notice the others can't see it. A man with golden armor and a red cape appears, his skin is as yellow as the sun as he holds a shield and spear in hand.
"Allow me to help you Young One, I am Ares, The God of War."
Looking at him I smile and nod, making him grin in return, "Then let's get started."
Everything seems to slow down, Sif makes her way towards me at the speed of dripping molasses. "Part your legs, lean forward, and strike, I will guide you through your fight. I heard from Vetirus that you're a quick learner, show me."
Doing as he says, everything seems to speed up but before she could strike me, I raised my sword. Metal clashes, making me smile, pushing her back I turn my body to strike her side.
"On your right."
Hearing Ares's words, I turn to block the strike from her.
"Faster."
Speeding up, I strike her again, only able to graze her cheek. Feeling a rush of excitement, I find myself falling into the motion of battle. Ares's voice rings in my ear as I fight with my all. I've never felt a rush like this before but here I am, enjoying the sweat that falls from my brow and the soreness that spikes my muscles.
"Finish it."
Following his instruction, I kick her feet, grabbing her ankle I throw her across the arena. Pointing my sword at her neck before she could stand to retrieve hers, she looks up at me in shock.
Letting my sword go, I smile at her, holding out my hand. "That was amazing! Thank you for sparing with me!" Taking my hand, I help her up, making her laugh a bit. "I'm impressed, Lady Sol!"
Looking at the others, Thor smiles at us, cheering while the others smile and laugh at his energetic actions. Looking ahead I see Ares smile at me. "I enjoyed my time with you Young One, call on me whenever you're in need." I mouth a quick thank you before he fades away.
Leaving them behind I head into my room to take a bath and change my dress. After a short wash and a quick switch, I walk around hoping to find some food. Finding a kitchen, I ask for some food. Rushing, and bustling, they give me enough food for two. Happy at the portion size, I rush to the dungeons to see Loki. Greeting the guards, I rush down the hallway and enter his cell.
"Hey, Loki!"
He looks up and smiles a bit, "Good evening, Sol."
Hearing him say my name makes my heart skip.
I hold up the tray, "I brought lunch."
Scooting over I sit down next to him, eating the food together, I start to tell him about my day. From the battle to talking with Ares and his aid. He's the only person that knows about all my abilities. He promised to keep it to himself and to be honest, I feel like I can trust him, despite him being the god of mischief and lies.
"He was very kind, and his armor was so shiny!"
Loki chuckles a bit at my comment, as the conversation moves to each other, he tells me tales of his youth and his life before being trapped in the cell. I hear Thor call my name in the distance, standing, I lift the tray and smile at Loki. "I'll come back tonight after dinner."
