Sol POV

Opening my eyes slowly, I look around the familiar room. Feeling the smooth sheets on my skin, I look around to see I'm in Loki's room back on Asgard. Feeling someone's hand on mine, I look over to see Loki. Smiling up at him, he returns it, "Morning, love."

"Morning."

"What happened? Is everyone ok?"

He nods, "Yes, everyone's safe, no one has been punished for treason, and Asgard is safe along with the other nine realms."

Relieved, I look into his eyes, "Loki? What's on your mind?"

He doesn't seem surprised by my words, "Thor turned down the throne."

"Ok, and what does that mean for you?"

"Well, Odin believes I have proven myself to be alone since I aided in battle. Mother suggested that I take the throne; at first, he wasn't too keen on it, but you know, Mother. He's taking it into consideration."

"That's great!"

He gives me a sad smile, "But why are you so sad? Isn't that what you wanted?"

"It is but, that means I have to leave Earth and stay on Asgard until otherwise."

Understanding his words, I place my hands on his cheek, "Then I guess I'll be going to Asgard more often."

Seeing the relief on his features, I giggle a bit, "Since when did you become such a worry wort?"

Pulling him into bed with me, I wrap my arms around him. Resting my head on top of his, he lays his head on my chest. Running my hands through his hair, I smile, "I don't plan on leaving your side anytime soon. You are my King, after all."

Turning me over, I look up at his mischievous eyes, "I like the sound of that." Placing his lips on mine, I start to relax, never wanting this feeling to fade away.

With that, I stayed in Asgard for the next few days, enjoying our time together before I had to return, and he started his own training to rule Asgard. While he was worried about our distance, I kept him reassured that I would visit and talk to him whenever I got the chance. When the day finally came, he saw me off, holding him tightly; his touch faded as the flashing light circled me. Finding myself back in the tower, I smile a bit before going inside.

Everyone was busy as usual, stopping by the kitchen; I see Steve making himself something to eat. I greet him, leading to a small congrats on the fight that took place in England. I thanked him, of course, which made me realize that I wasn't that close with a lot of the Avengers. I was pretty close with Tony, but ever since I brought Loki here, he's kept his distance.

I'm not surprised, but Steve has been the nicest out of them all despite my social skills. I brush it off; only time can tell in my eyes, and making friends wasn't my biggest priority right now. Weeks go by, the distance between the group and I became stagnant. My closest companion became the star-spangled man who took the time to get to know me outside of the various missions we get assigned on.

With him came Sam, who quickly trusted his judgment and came to trust me. The men started to fill a hole in my heart that I didn't know was empty, resulting in a bond stronger than intended. If I wasn't honing my skills or spending time with Loki, I was with my two friends, letting off steam or just enjoying life.

As the seasons changed, I began to rekindle the flame of the family I had left in New York. Visiting Aunt Lola and the others became joyous as I caught up with her or played with the kids. Being around them always felt like home, like Mama and Papa never left.

Every time I would leave the tower, I felt a chill up my spine, leaving me on high alert. I hoped it was just nothing, that it was all in my head, but I knew better. Stopping by the flower shop, I pick up a bouquet before heading to my parent's grave. The trip wasn't long, but I took a detour, hoping to throw off the person who's been tailing me for the past hour.

Successfully getting away, I stand in front of their graves, setting down the colorful flowers. talking to them for a bit, I leave, returning to the tower. Walking down the street, I feel someone pull me into the dark alley. Putting a cloth over my mouth, they hold me tightly. I hold my breath; struggling, I grab the arm they wrapped around my neck and tossed them over. Watching them land on the dirty ground, I waste no time in knocking them out with a good punch.

Taking a breath, feeling a bit dizzy, I wipe the residue from my nose. Leaning against the wall, I look up to see someone dragging the man away. Holding out my hand to shoot him, he was already gone.

Cursing under my breath, I hurry back to the tower, washing my face in the bathroom. I finally relax, digesting what just took place. It was at that moment; I felt nothing but pure anger. Pushing it down, I hope it won't happen again; I hope I won't have to force my hand.

Weeks go by, and the feeling never goes away. I stopped going to Aunt Lola's for the time being, not wanting to endanger them, but I didn't stop visiting my parents. I wasn't going to let them change that. I started to grow paranoid, always feeling like eyes were on me. Loki, Steve, and Sam noticed, but I just brushed them off. I didn't want them to get involved; they didn't need to.

Like any other day, I hold the flowers tightly as I walk through the graveyard. For the first time in weeks, I felt normal, like nothing was lurking over my shoulder. Setting the flowers down, I stand; frowning, I turn my head to see a man in a silk dark gray suit.

"And who may you be?"

He smiles softly, "Sol Macias, I need you to come with me."

Looking at him, I chuckle, "I don't think so; what's stopping me from taking you out?"

He laughs a bit, "Attack me if you want, but if you do, your family will die."

I grow stiff, glaring at him, "Lay one finger on me, and Aunt Lola and the little kids on the block will be sitting in their own blood."

Staring at each other, I sigh, "Fine."

"Smart choice."

Holding out a gun, he shoots me; feeling the darts hit my side, I send one last message before I fall into darkness. "Loki? I'll be gone for a while."

He responds quickly, "Wait, what going on. Sol? So-"

Everything went dark.
