Sol POV

The trip to the Milky Way is going well; everyone's been very kind and keeping me occupied with stories and their witty conversations. It was good to see all of them again, to look up from the stories and knowledge that resides in books to be in a new space.

The only downside was Thor and Loki hovering over me like ghosts. At first, Thor let me be, but after Loki thoroughly explained the importance of the babies and I's safety, he began to follow in his steps.

Now I sit irritated by Thor's and Loki's eyes lingering over my shoulder. Gamora hands me some food, thanking her and my hungry belly. I take the spoon, ready to take a bite only for Loki to take it and examine it.

Extremely irritated, the spoon in my hand breaks in half. With great speed, I take off my shoe-throwing it at him. It hits his head, making him fall back; holding out my hand, the shoe returns as I catch the bowl just in time. Glaring at Thor, he holds up his hand, backing away slowly.

Taking the soup, I take a large sip letting the flavorful food go down my throat. Smiling cooling, I look at the others' startled faces, "This tastes wonderful! Thank you for sharing your rations."

Quill nods, "It's no trouble at all."

Groot looks down at the knocked-out god on the ground, "I am Groot?"

"Yes, he will be ok, but next time he takes my food, I'll throw him in the closet, Sun."

I look at Thor, "And you."

He looks fearful as I look into his soul with an unmatched range of anger, "I can only take one person hovering over me like an injured bird, not two. So please refrain from hovering over me as Loki does. If you do it again, I'll show you what death looks like; you got it?"

He nods quickly; I huff in triumph, placing my hand over my stomach in happiness. Yawning, I walk over to Loki's laid body. Taking off his jacket, I slip it on before sitting in my seat and drifting off to sleep.

Loki POV

Opening my eyes slowly, the first thing I see is Sol looking down at me with my jacket wrapped around her body. "Welcome back, darling~."

I look around, adjusting my eyes, only to hear the rabbit laughing. "She got you good!"

Sol chuckles a bit, "Yeah, sorry about that; next time, don't try to take my food."

Sitting up slowly, she stands up straight, "Oh, and I'm keeping this, by the way, I must say I can see why you favor it so much; it's very comfortable."

Watching as she walks away, I look at my brother; he looks like he's got his soul sucked out, but I don't question it as I rise from the ground and dust myself off. Watching her talk with the talking tree, I sit next to my brother.

He speaks softly, "Don't be nervous, Brother."

I look at him, he continues, "Your child has your blood flowing through its veins; it's stronger than you'll ever know."

My heart warms at his words; despite my distaste for him throughout the years, I can't help but appreciate the moments like this.

"Hang on tight; we're approaching Earth."

Looking at Sol, she stands looking out the window with no fear as she smiles down at the green and blue planet. Walking over to her, I place my hand on her lower back; looking up at me, she smiles brightly. Allowing me to guide her to the nearest seat with a seat belt. Sitting beside her, her fingers intertwine with mine, making my heart rate increase as I fight back the color threatening to show.

As we descend to earth, I watch as they regulate the ship, preparing it for its atmosphere. Once within the blue sky, they direct their ships north, flying over the blue ocean to see the mountain that stood high before us.

Seeing Sol stare with longing at the small country, I rub her hand gently before kissing her forehead. Landing on the open field, the doors open, revealing Valkyrie.

She smiles at us, "Well, look who decided to stop by."

Sol leaves my side, rushing over to wrap her arms around her. The warrior returns it before letting her go shortly after. "Have your travels come to an end so soon?"

Sol smiles, "For the time being, I can't really go on exciting adventures with a child growing inside me."

She looks down at the belly, then at her, "Congratulations!"

Looking at me, she smirks, "I see you finally knocked her up; took you long enough."

I roll my eyes, making Sol chuckle; turning to the others that began to leave the ship, she smiles at them, "You can spend the night in our home if you like."

Quill nods, "Sur-"

Gemora sends him a glare.

He rewords his response, "As long as we're not opposing."

"Of course not."

Sol POV

Leading the way, I look around the town, to see it flourishing makes the smile on my face brighten. I greet the many walking by as they welcome our return. I can't but think of the time I first walked through the town of Asgard. Of the merchants that sold their goods and the children that rushed by without a care in the world.

Even when I found my birth home burned to the ground, so much has changed since then. Walking closer to the edge of the village near the ocean side. A small house sits alone; rocket looks up at me, "Are you sure we can fit in there?"

I nod, leading them to the door, opening it to reveal a spacious home. "I must say magic has spoiled me. Make yourself comfortable; there should be plenty of rooms upstairs."

Walking over to Valkyrie, I hand her a small crystal, "Here, this is everything Loki and I collected during our travels. I'll be coming by to the counsel building tomorrow to help sort through them, but a majority of them should go to the historical building."

She nods, "Thank you."

Walking off, she speaks up, "You know your old spot is still open; I wouldn't mind it."

Turning my head, I smile, "You seem to be doing a great job without me around."

"Yes, we manage, but it's not the same without you."

"You don't need me, but I'll always be here. If you need any help, I'll be one call away."

She smiles a bit, "Ok."

"Now, would you like to stay for dinner? I'm making a lot tonight."

"Sure, but only if I get some of your liquor, I haven't had some today, and I deserve a reward."

I chuckle, "I wouldn't have it any other way."
