NO POV
Turning their heads, they see the group of guards pointing at them. Loki grabs Sol's hand and books it, rushing through the crowd of people; Loki notices an alley up ahead.
Casting an illusion, they slip in; watching the guards run past them, they take a breather. Smiling at Loki, she hears whispers circling her head. Looking ahead, she sees an elegant building ahead; stepping forward, she blends in with the crowd.
Caught off guard, Loki follows after her keeping his illusion at bay. Standing before large doors, she opens them, stepping in with no sense of fear of consequence.
Looking at the open floor, she sees a statue of the gods who made her, united in hands and a sword.
Looking up at the gold and silver figures of the two, she can't help but feel their presence. Without her knowledge, her skin begins to turn into a mixture of blue and purple, and her hair a bright white. Loki began to recall the day he held her dying figure in his arms and watched as her skin turned to the same color as it healed.
Shocked, he steps closer to her, placing his hand on her shoulder gently. Turning her head, he looks into her glowing eyes, "Sol?"
Her eyebrows raise in concern as her skin, eyes, and hair turn back to their normal color, "What's wrong?"
"You just-"
The doors burst open, making the guards flood in with their blasters in hand.
"Freeze!"
Holding me close, we stand still, "Under the Shi'ar Empire, you are under arrest for trespassing! Struggle, and we'll have no choice but to detain you by force."
Sol speaks to Loki telepathically, "Are you ready?"
"Always~"
Before Loki could summon his daggers and Sol hold out her hand to attack, someone stops them.
"Stop!"
A man steps in, skin a cool orange, hair placed in a rugged triangular shape, and uniform graced in black and silver armor. He looks at the two. "You two have been requested to the Palace; I shall escort you."
The guards look shocked along with Loki and Sol, but to them, it was better for them to get arrested, they didn't know who the ruler was, and if they angered them, it could get sticky. Looking at each other, they nod. Following him, they are led to an aircraft; stepping on the device, it slowly sores through the sky and zooms through the air.
Sol hangs onto her hood, looking down at the glowing city in excitement. While Loki was a bit worried, he didn't think too much into it. Seeing the smile on Sol's face meant much more to him, and protecting it was his goal. Landing, a silver palace is presented in front of them, like in the church, the statue of the coupled gods rise side by side. The tall man leads them into the building, walking down the silver-filled hall; Sol looks at the statues that stand tall between the pillars and windows that bled in light.
Opening the doors, they enter the throne room, where the young girl sat regally. Her skin and eyes were a soft pink, while her hair was jet black. It was short and rose high to the sky like a triangle, but it complemented her black and gold skinsuit. The man bowed down to her, "Emperess."
She nods, never moving her eyes from her guest. "You man leave K'gor."
Following her instructions, he hurries along, leaving the three alone in silence; the guards flanked to the sides didn't move. It was uncomfortable for the two, but the Emperess didn't seem fazed as she stared at the two.
Without there knowledge was poking through their head. While it was easy to do so to Loki, she couldn't penetrate Sol's.
"Prince Loki of Asgard, and Sol. I am Emperess Xandra; welcome to the Shi'ar Empire. What brings you here?"
Loki pulls down his hood and speaks up, "Well, Emp-"
She holds up her hand, "Silence. I want to hear it from her."
Sol grows nervous, "Me?"
"Yes, the one I can't seem to read. Who are you?"
Pushing the nervousness down her throat, she looks up at her, pulling down her own hood. "My name is Sol Verdandi Marcias."
Not knowing to be honest or not about her origins, she hears faint whispers flow through her ear.
"We came here by mistake, we apologize for intruding, but once we landed, I wanted to look around."
"Landed, I didn't see an aircraft. The only reason the Imperial guards knew was because of the sensors."
"Yes, um, a portal opened, well, mine did, I didn't mean for it to, but it kinda just happened."
She looks down, "What is of your lineage?"
"I am Asgarian and Shi'ar."
"So you are of my people; I don't recall anyone being sent to Asgard."
"Well, to be specific, my mother was Hertha; while I didn't have a father, the ones who helped created me were K'ythri and Sharra."
She frowns, "You dare spread such lies to me?"
The guards that they failed to notice grow angry as they ready their weapons. Sol grows frustrated, "I am not lying."
Uttering those words, she begins to glow, making Xandra, Loki, and the guards freeze. They watch as her essence, her words, her soul summons a projection of the Shi'ar deities. Like the other gods that appear to guide and teach her, they stand behind her protectively.
The others stare in shock; Sol turns her head and smiles at the two before her, "K'ythri! Sharra!"
Looking down at her, they smile softly, adoring the cheer that graced Sol's features. Loki was baffled, never seeing the beings with his own eyes. Hearing tales of them in books and the little information from Sol, he sees that there exactly how Sol described them to be in his days in prison.
Turning to the Empress K'ythri speak up, "Our child does not lie."
Sharra continues, "We wish for you to treat her with respect."
Both bore their eyes into their people as they stare in awe; seeing Xandra bow her head as if she was in prayer, she responses smoothly, "Yes, your Holiness."
Satisfied by her words, the gods look down at Loki, boring into his soul. Feeling no ill, they fade away, leaving Sol alone with the others. Happy, she looks at Loki, "They like you!"
He was still processing what just happened, leaving him to stare at the excited girl.
The Emperess looks down, "I apologize for accusing you of lying about your lineage."
Sol looks up at her and smiles, "It's ok; I understand your concern, plus I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see them for myself."
She stands, "Then we must rejoice! Tomorrow is Feast Day, it's a day where we honor Sharra and K'ythri, and now we can honor you as well. We shall announce to the empire that another will watch over us!"
The guards rejoice while Sol feels her cheeks heat up slowly.
