Sara's Decision

Chapter 57

A couple of weeks later Sara was able to get back out in the field. She was a little rusty at first, but she soon was back in the swing of things. They seemed to be getting closer to taking down Diaz, but they still were not able to catch him yet. It seemed that every time the team went after him, he was able to escape just before they arrived.

"This is really starting to get old. I thought we would have Diaz off the board by now." Sara said.

"We just need to be patient. We are taking down a lot of his operations. Sooner or later, he will show himself because he will think that is the only way to stop us." Oliver said.

"I agree. It is what I would do in that kind of situation. After all, I know what it is like to be the bad guy." Dinah said.

"You did what you had to do to survive on your earth. If you had a Flash instead of a Zoom, I think you would have been on the other side of things. Zoom didn't give you a choice." Sara said.

"No, he didn't but I still could have chosen to be a better person. Once my Ollie died, I just went down hill after that." Dinah said.

"I can understand that. Why do you think I am here anyways?" Sara asked.

"So, Ollie dies soon then?" Dinah asked.

"Not if I have anything to say about it. That is why I came back. Well, that and to save my sister and dad as well." Sara said.

"So, what happened to me in the other timeline?" Dinah asked.

"You joined up with Prometheus and worked against the team and once they defeated him you went to work for Cayden James, who was just a pawn for Diaz to get what he wanted. So, you really worked for Diaz until dad turned you and you went after Diaz, who took you captive and dad saved you by taking a bullet. You then decided to take the DA job that would have been Laurel's if she hadn't had been dead. You turned on us one more time and then we were able to talk some sense into you and you helped us take down the bad guy. You then went back to earth 2 and became the Black Canary there until your earth was destroyed during the crisis, where Ollie saved you and brought you back here, and you worked with the team until her died. Then there was really no need for the team after that." Sara said.

"So, sounds like I was stupid during the old timeline. Why would I work against this team?" Dinah asked.

"I think it was more of the fact that you wanted to change. You were going to talk to Ollie about not being bad anymore, but our former computer genius had the rest of the team attack you and that made you think that Ollie had turned on you as well. So, I think you were looking to get on the right track but when that happened you thought that Ollie had turned on you, so you turned on him." Sara said.

"Would the computer person have done the same thing this time if she was still working here?" Dinah asked.

"I doubt it. First of all, she had just broken up with Ollie the year before that and she always knew that Ollie had a soft spot for Laurel in the old timeline. He still does now, just not for the same reason as in the old timeline." Sara said.

"Meaning what?" Dinah asked.

"He has a soft spot for us Lance girls. I had a tendency to leave a lot in the old timeline, so we didn't have the same relationship that we do now. Oliver was the love of Laurel's life and she thought that she wasn't Ollie's when she died. Oliver in the old timeline was on a no killing kick last time around when Laurel was killed. He swore when she was killed that he would kill the man responsible, and he did that. About six months later Ollie, Thea, John, Ray Palmer and I were abducted by aliens and put into a simulation where we were living our perfect lives. Oliver was about to get married to Laurel in that simulation. That was his perfect life at that point." Sara said.

"And what about this computer girl?" Dinah asked.

"They were still friends. He ended up marrying her about a year later and they had a daughter together. She wasn't a bad person, she just let her emotions get the better of her every now and then." Sara said.

"Why didn't you ever get back with Ollie?" Dinah asked.

"I was busy doing my time travel thing. I had a girlfriend who I loved, and everything was going great. Then crisis came along, and Ollie was killed twice and that was when I realized how big of an idiot I was and I could have been with him for all of those years, but I was just to busy running away from my problems. When he died it was like something in me died as well, so I made the decision to come back in time and try to make things right this time, and as of right now everything is going well." Sara said.

"It looks that way to me as well. Just curious, but how was it possible for him to die twice?" Dinah asked.

"He died when he was trying to save earth 38 from what are known as shadow demons. Everyone else was sent away by Novu, who is the guy who was there to help us with taking down the bad guy known as the Anti-Monitor. Ollie stopped Novu from teleporting him away and stayed so that more people could get off of that earth. He died in the process. Later Barry, Mia, who was Oliver's daughter, John Constantine, and me resurrected Ollie in a Lazarus pit and left him sedated until we could get his soul back. Mia, John Diggle and Constantine went to get his soul and as they were ready to leave this being known as the Specter showed up and told Oliver that he needed to stay so that he could become the new Specter. Later after the Anti-Monitor had destroyed all the universes, seven paragons were sent to a place called the vanishing point. Ollie showed up there with his Specter powers and got us out of there. We all ended up at the Dawn of Time and Ollie fought the Anti-Monitor while we fought the shadow demons. Ollie was able to weaken the Anti-Monitor and was able to create a new multiverse with his powers but in the process, he was killed again. Barry and I were the last two people to talk to Ollie and now you know why I am here." Sara said.

"Wow, that is amazing. I do see why you came back now. I mean you lost so much in the old timeline." Dinah said.

"Yeah, I did. Enough about that though. Let's go and spar for a while. I am still a little rusty and could use the work." Sara said.

"Sounds good to me." Dinah said and the two went to spar knowing that they had just become a whole lot closer with each other now that they understood each other a little bit more.
