Sara's Decision

Chapter 62

"Ok, so are you going to tell me why you look so disturbed right now?" Oliver asked.

"It is going to be time for us to go off and help the Monitor soon." Sara said.

"Like how long are we talking here? Weeks? Months?" Oliver asked.

"I am not sure. We will just have to wait and see." Sara said.

"Why did you have to go in there and give yourself up like I did. You could have stayed here with Erica and taken care of her." Oliver said.

"Ollie, you forget that I have seen most of this before. You wouldn't make it back to us if you would have gone to visit Novu on your own. It is going to take the both of us for this to work." Sara said.

"I don't understand why it takes both of us." Oliver said.

"I think I can answer that Oliver." Novu said as he appeared out of nowhere.

"I know that Sara Queen is from an alternate timeline now. She has seen what happens in the coming crisis and she is right. It will take both of you to survive what is to come. The both of you have powers will allow you not to blow all of your powers and then therefore you should both live." Novu said.

"So, I made the right call with everything that I have changed then?" Sara asked.

"Yes, you have. For not knowing what you were doing at first you have changed many things for the better. For one, Oliver is the man that he needs to be this time around. He became soft in the old timeline because of people like John Diggle and Felicity Smoak. This time all of his friends realized what he had to do and did not stop him." Novu said.

"What do you mean I went soft?" Oliver asked.

"You didn't kill people who needed to be killed because John Diggle and Felicity Smoak didn't agree with it. That lead to Laurel Lance dying and your sister coming close to dying. You killed the people who killed people close to you after they had killed your friends. This time you prevented all of that because you killed when it was needed and that did not stop you from being a hero like some people might have thought." Novu said.

"Well, I am glad that I did something right this time around." Oliver said.

"You always did the right thing Ollie. Sometimes just a little slower than it needed to be done." Sara said.

"So, are you here to get us for your mission for us?" Sara asked.

"No. I could see that you had questions so I figured that I would come and give you answers." Novu said.

"So, we don't die this time around then?" Oliver asked.

"Oh, you misunderstand. You will die, but it will not be permanent." Novu said.

"I don't understand what you are saying. So, what do we use a Lazarus pit or something?" Oliver asked.

"No Ollie. We have to die to get our powers. Once we do that we will come back to life as Specters, and we will be able to do what is needed of us and still be able to live." Sara said.

"What do we need to do with these powers?" Oliver asked.

"That is the hard part to understand. We will create a new multiverse." Sara said.

"So, this bad guy destroys the multiverse?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah, he does. There was nothing that we could do about it without you coming back either." Sara said.

"Is there anything else that we need?" Oliver asked.

"It would always be good to have another person with powers to help you." Novu said.

"Do you have anyone in mind for this?" Sara asked.

"Let's say that it has to be someone that always sees the best in people no matter how much people seem to use that against them." Novu said.

"Can we do it without another person or do we need this person in order to live?" Sara asked.

"I am sorry to say this, but I think the third person will be need for this." Novu said.

"I will be sure to tell them what is going on then." Sara said as she put her head down looking at the floor.

"Do not be scared Sara. If you do everything right all three of you will live." Novu said.

"I just wish I didn't have to bring anyone else into this." Sara said.

"Well, we still need to find out who this person is." Oliver said.

"Sara already knows. That is why she doesn't like this plan anymore." Novu said.

"Who is it Sara?" Oliver asked.

"You are telling me everything I did was for nothing then. I don't understand this." Sara said.

"Who is it Sara?" Oliver asked again.

"I don't want to say it yet. It will just make this more real than it already is." Sara said.

"Well, I will leave you and I still want to say that none of you will stay dead unless you do something against what needs to be done. I will tell you this as well. I will be back for you in a month in order to complete the tasks that need to be done before crisis hits." Novu said and then he disappeared.

"Well, that was interesting. I know more now than I did but I still feel lost on some of this stuff." Oliver said.

"It's no need for you to worry about it now. We will figure it out." Sara said.

"Would you please tell me who this third person is?" Oliver asked.

"They obviously need someone to kind of outweigh our darkness." Sara said.

"There is only one person I know who could do that. Wait, no I agree with you. We can't do that." Oliver said.

"No, we can't. We need to find another way." Sara said.

"We will. Maybe we can find a way to do it with just the two of us." Oliver said as they went into their bedroom and changed to go to sleep for the night.
