Mina blinked, her mind groggy with open-ended thoughts, and her slowly mending consciousness, cut short recently with what must have been the tranquilizer they injected her with once the truck stopped, and they tried taking a look at her, Mina making it difficult for them as she lashed out, kicking, clawing, and hitting anything she could in a wild attempt to escape her captors. And of course, with a few extra punches and claws to the face, they neutralized her.

It must have been some time since she was out, looking around she was now in a room the size of a storage closet, the door was built from metal wiring, a few pieces of paper displayed on the front.

From what she could smell there were others, probably stuck in the same cages she found herself in.

She was laid down in a pile of blankets in the corner, a water bottle propped up in the other.

Mina sat there, heart beating rapidly, she didn't know what to do, she couldn't hide, she couldn't run away, not this time. She was trapped, scared, and alone.

A day had passed, but it felt like years to Mina, 24 hours of panic and fear. Not knowing what they were going to do to her. Someone had come by, asking her questions like her name and age. And 2 more times to bring her food, which she promptly ignored.

She'd been hungry before, she remembered the pain well. But everyone had limits, and the worker's constant murmurings around her cage weren't helping either. She could feel their stares and had no idea how long it would be till something else happens.

Apparently not long, as she peeked out from the small wall she'd made from the things in her space, ears pressed down against her head as she heard footsteps approaching.

Then she showed up.

She heard the bell first, a small sign of her speedy approach, followed by her practically slamming herself against the bars of her cage. Peering through the gaps with a heartbroken expression, a killer duo of her saddest puppy eyes and pout. Dark tabby ears falling down as she saw her predicament.

Then, Mina guessed, her owners appeared. One, the taller of the two, with mid-length flowy brown hair, cream cardigan, and white shirt. The other a black shirt and jeans, long brown hair with purple tips.

"Dahyun? Who are you looking at...?" The woman with purple tips asked eyes squinted as she peered at the paper on the front of her cage, Dahyun turned around, showing off her masterful face of sorrow as she spoke to her owners.

"Unnies! Tell those meanies to let her out!"

They looked at each other for a moment, confusion written on their faces but clearly picking up on the distress their kitty emitted.

"Is this why you asked to come here? Because you knew she was here?" The other asked, frowning.

Dahyun nodded quickly, "I saw her yesterday when I was exploring! She was like rawr this is my space go away! And I was like Woah pretty! We were exploring together and I was looking at this fountain when these bad guys took her away!" She explained, hands waving about, her owners stealing another quick glance.

"Here, let's talk with someone and we'll see what we can do." The one with the purple tips, murmured, gently caressing Dahyun's arm as she wheeled away, out of her sight, the other following close behind.

Mina, not having a clue what they were talking about peered out from her cage, but they were already gone. Retreating back to her place she tried collecting her confused thoughts, grateful really, for the small glimpse from the anxiety, replaced by something much more manageable.

They seemed comforting, Dahyun's owners, two well-put-together people who managed Dahyun's energy well, knowing their kitty like the back of their hands. So if Dahyun desired very much for Mina's release from her prison, then maybe, they might be able to do it. All that was left to do now was to hope and wait.
