19 - Calico

Mina let out a satisfied sigh as she signed off on the last piece of paper-work she had. Mina was the proud owner of an affordable furniture company for people of all sizes and shapes.

Packing the rest of her things into her bag she picked up a now pristine clean tofu plushie. It was her girlfriend, Dahyun's favorite toy. The girl loved it the moment Mina gifted it to her 5 years ago. And Mina had gotten it cleaned yesterday, letting it dry out in her office.

Locking her door she made her way to the front door, waving off with a smile to late-working employees, who responded with a plethora of good-nights and well wishes.

Entering her sleek black vehicle she tapped her girlfriend's contact for a facetime call and started driving.

After a few rings, the phone picked up and Dahyun's sleepy face appeared, her lover's body tucked into a sea of plushies and blankets, her calico ears flicking as the audio connected.

"Hi Dahyunie, I just finished work, I'll be home soon okay?" She softly said, smiling as Dahyun squished her cheek onto a nearby penguin plush she appeared to have been using as a pillow.

Dahyun nodded, staring adoringly into the screen, a small pout spreading across her pale exterior, a tilt to her head following.

Mina laughed a bit, "Yes Hyun, I have your tofu right here, make sure you tidy up all that stuff before I get home, you know I don't like cleaning after a long day of work, maybe tofu will have to go to the cleaners again if Mina gets mad." She teased, setting the plush on her lap.

Dahyun frowned, shaking her head around, " No fair! It's boring without you here, what else was I supposed to do?"

Mina chuckled, "I'll see you in a bit then," She said, and Dahyun whined.

"Get home fast, I missed you. We barely got to cuddle last night."Dahyun murmured, staring at her through the screen.

Mina nodded and ended the call, pulling into her street.

A few minutes later Mina parked her car, stepping out she grabbed her purse and set the plush in it, locking her door she made her way towards the front door.

Opening the door she was greeted by the sight of an excited calico in the doorway, running over and giving her a bear hug, her cheek rubbing against her own.

Mina laughed, rubbing Dahyun's head as she shifted inside and shut the door.

"How was work? Wheres tofu? You have the weekend off now right?"Dahyun asked, and she pulled the plush from her bag, gently squishing her cheek before handing it over to her, her calico tail swishing excitedly as she took it, a hearty smile on her face as she pecked Mina's cheek and ran off further into the house.

Toeing off her shoes she lifted her coat onto the hanger and continued down the short hall and to their room.

Opening the door she set her bag down next to her desk and turned on her monitor, the LEDs beginning to glow.

Opening Origin she clicked on spore and selected her planet, letting it load she stood up and made her way over to her closet, changing into more comfortable clothes comprised of an oversized hoodie and shorts.

Stepping outside their room she made her way to the kitchen and took a mug from the drawer, and set it on the counter. Grabbing her milk she poured it into her frother and turned it on, grabbing a tea bag she set it into the cup and poured about halfway up the mug with hot water.

Now waiting for her tea to steep she walked over to the living room, seeing an unusual bump in Dahyun's pile of plushies and blankets. Getting closer, with a smile she noticed the tip of a tail poking out of the pile, the calico fur fluffing up as she got closer.

Crouching down she began digging around in the pile, slowly moving plush after plush away from it.

And as she goes to grab another, a figure erupts out of the pile and tackles her to the ground.

Mina giggled as Dahyun throws her hands up in triumph, celebrating her triumph in capturing her.

"Hah! Got you Minari! I bet you didn't even see me coming!" Dahyun looked down at her, a wide smile on her face.

Mina laughed, shaking her head as she sat up, bringing Dahyun close enough to kiss her head, her hands going to cup her soft cheek. 

"Yeah, Hyun, you got me huh."Mina smiled, giving her one last kiss on her cheek before standing up and returning to her tea, to which she finished and beckoned for the Calico to follow. 

Reaching their room she set her tea down on the desk, Mina sat down. Dahyun dragging over a large fluffy cream bean bag from the corner and jumped on, sitting near enough so that Mina could stroke her head, slender fingers gently going over her soft ears, causing her to happily purr. 

Mina was currently on the Space stage in her planet, now being able to travel across the galaxy, making friends and foes with the many other species inhabiting them, taking quests from her home planet, expanding her empire across more & more planets, being able to color or change the atmosphere and planets plant life to make it more inhabitable for her people. 

Dahyun had also helped out with her, making choices like what to color her species, or whether to make friends or wipe out the new species she found. Or in the later stages to go to war or try to make an alliance with the many tribes on her planet named after the Calico. 

Mina had conquered her world, with Dahyun right by her side the entire time, ready to help her with any decision she needed. 

Finally, as she finished a quest with another planet they were now open to trade routes, to which she was happy to agree, and soon enough later she would be able to purchase their system and expand even further.

But for now, she was finished and logged off, Dahyun cozily curled up on the bean bag beside her, even breaths making her body rise up and down in smooth motions as she slept. 

Getting up from her chair she stretched, going to her bathroom to do her nightly routine and return back to the bedroom. 

Gently shaking Dahyun the Calico's eyes slowly opened, "Come on Dahyunie, time for bed," She murmured and Dahyun rose, arms wrapping around her neck as she moved over to their bed and set her down, getting in beside her.

As she settled down Dahyun came over and found her way into her arms, nuzzling into the space where her neck and shoulder met, their legs tangled in the others. Mina patted her head, caressing her soft ears, making Dahyun let out a comfortable purr. 

"Night Dahyun. "She murmured and gently kissed her head, Dahyun mumbling after her, and they both drifted off.
