"Yeah, yeah, fine. I'll do it, but you better be paying me extra this time. I don't really enjoy killing innocent girls like this." A soft silvery voice spoke into the phone, fiddling with her custom bladed knife as she finished the call.

With a sigh she spoke, pulling her black hoodie over her head and lifting her matching mask over her face, "You better be ready Ms. Kim Dahyun, your days are numbered." She smiled to herself, switching the blade back into its handle with a light click.

Dahyun lived a normal life, she worked as a lawyer for a quality company. She was one of the best there, although she didn't quite think so. Her friend, Chaeyoung worked as a barista for a small but popular coffee shop.

There was only one other company that rivaled hers, although she never quite paid them any mind, opting to focus only on her work for the day. Which was what she was currently doing, filling out paperwork from her latest work, which she won. Her other friend Tzuyu, who worked at the same company as her, sometimes described her as too pure for the job of a lawyer. Of course, she never quite understood why, but she never asked.

With a refreshing sigh she set the small stack of papers of to the side as she finally finished reading through each one and corresponding with the correct procedure.

Standing up from her desk she tugged on her jacket. Most of her coworkers had already left as when she looked outside it was dark.

Grabbing her clutch she made her way outside.

Mina closed her laptop, she had just spent an hour on research, which was the least favorite part of her job. Her favorite being the fun part of killing the target, but of course she'd need to know a bit about them first. Lucky for her Ms. KDH worked at a popular company.

She decided she would go and check out the outskirts of the building she worked at, maybe take a peek inside as well.

Sliding her laptop into her backpack she swung it over her shoulder and left her small and inconspicuous hiding place, better known as her 'home'. But she never quite thought of it as that, as she was completely prepared to pack up and leave as quickly as possible if the need arouse.

As she walked down the dimly lit street of her neighborhood she took occasional peeks at her phone, picking up the pace as the building was an annoyingly longer distance from her home then usual.

After about 10 minutes of speed walking, jogging, and running she'd finally arrived at her destination.

Sticking to the "shadows" of the sidewalk she made her way towards the brightly lit building, surrounded by the many other buildings and blinding neon lights and signs farther down the street.

She stopped in her tracks and turned into an alleyway, she couldn't believe her luck. There was her target, leaving the building, completely alone, and at night.

She smirked, tucking her phone away she slipped her switchblade out and began to follow her.

***

There was nobody outside by now, just Dahyun. And was it her, but she had this creepy feeling of being watched. Although she stamped it down, who was gonna follow her this late at night? Most people would be fast asleep right now, except for those who stay up later and the night shift employees. And who would even want to?

She sighed, turning a corner into a new block. Her apartment complex being just a few blocks away.

Just as she did so though, she heard a small grunt followed by a thud and loud clatters.
