"You either test someone's patience when they have nothing, or test someone's attitude when they have everything."

"This is me." Liam breaks the awkward silence as the taxi comes to a sudden halt.

Grabbing his wallet out of his jacket pocket he pays for hair fair and pats the driver on the shoulder. "Happy new years guys. Thanks for the ride mate."

"Bye Liam." I half smile as he slips out of the car.

Zayns hand thats protectively resting on my thigh grips a little harder and I smirk at him as the door closes.

"You're so possesive."

He doesn't reply, but sends me a mischievious grin that causes my heart to jump.

Grabbing my hand, he brings it to his lips and kisses my knuckles. "I love you." He mumbles, staring at my hand, then finally at me.

I half smile. "I love you."

He squeezes my hand, eyes still locked on my own as a small grin falls on my own.

I'm dreading going home to see how messy the dinning room and kitchen is. Because I was so focused on going out and leaving Zayn to get shit faced, I didn't give a second thought to cleaning up the kitchen and dinning room.

it was literally the last thing on my mind.

But walking in, I had other things that was added to the list.

The house wasn't completely trashed, but whatever party that was on in here, it could have led to it.

"You had the party here instead of Nialls, didn't you?" I murmur annoyed as Zayn closes the doors from behind us.

"Sorry, babe." He winces as I turn back to him.

I roll my eyes tiredly. "You can clean it in the morning." I murmur tiredly before walking up the staircases and into our bathroom.

I wash the make up off my face and peel the dress off my body before pulling the bathrobe around me.

Zayn, who's in the bedroom leans against the bathroom door and folds his arms while facing me.

My eyes flick from the mirror to him, a shirtless Zayn in the reflection.

"What?" I frown.

"I didn't say anything." He grins and I frown before grabbing my toothbrush out of the cabinent.

I shut it after grabbing it, and realize Zayn is behind me in the reflection. His hands snake around my waist while his chin rests on my shoulder.

"I won't see Candice if you won't see Liam." He suggests, causing me to frown.

"In comparison, there's no sexual tension between Liam and I?" I reply. "Or history." I add as I begin to brush my teeth.

Zayns hands that are around my hips tighten and I look up at him through the reflection. "You have chemistry. And I don't like it."

I pierce my lips together as I turn the faucet on to spit the saliva out. "Why are we talking about school subjects?" I try to lighten the conversation up but he only frowns in reply.

"I'm serious."

"Because we're friends." I state the obvious. "Friends get along don't they?"

Zayn rolls his eyes and pulls away from me to lean on the counter top, getting a better vision of my face in person, rather than just the reflection. "Why do you keep saying that when you know there's more to it?"
