“You can’t selectively numb your anger, any more than you can turn off all lights in a room, and still expect to see the light.”
― Shannon L. Alder

Louis was immediately at the door before I could even knock on it.

The first thing he did was check my face.

Some part of me question why he did it, but then I realise just as fast as the thought had occurred.

Zayn hadn't touch me for a whole week, so whatever bruise he left on me when he tried to beat me to talk, had already semi healed.

Confirming that I was finally okay, he sighs and smiles.

That's when I break down in tears.

He pulls me into an immediate hug and pulls me inside before the paparazzi gets a shot of 'Zayn Maliks girl getting cozy with band mate.'

"What's wrong?!" Louis questions, continuing to hold me, while attempting to drag my luggage to the side.

I shake my head to indicate that I'm in no situation to talk and he rubs my back. "Did you and Zayn break-"

I nod and he sighs. "Finally. I mean I know he's my mate and all, but he's a real tosser for doing this to you, you know."

Louis pulls away to gaze at me again.

The site of my face is probably horrible right now.

"Do you want some tea?" Louis questions. "You know I can make a real banging tea?"

I nod quietly and he gestures to the couch. "Take a seat, make yourself at home."

I take a deep breath and stiffly walk into the lounge room and sit down on the couch.

My mind is racing.

I want to go back to him but I know that's a bad idea.

But it's actually taken me this long to do this. He's hurt me countless of times and I feel stupid for accepting his lies.

I feel lost though.

The time I've spent imprisoned has got to me.

Louis walks in a few moments later and places a cup on the coffee table. "That's yours. Be careful though, it's hot."

"Thanks." I sniff to myself and Louis gazes at me intently.

"So?" Louis raises an eyebrow. "What's up?"

All these things that are running through my head and the first thing he says is what's up?

I half smile and look down at my tea as I grab it. "I'm lost."

"No silly. You're not lost you're at my house. I suppose you want to stay here yeah?" He looks back at the suitcase and I sigh.

"I was thinking about going to my old place?"

Louis frowns. "Where's that?"

"It's down central London. I just needed someone to talk too." I murmur quietly.

"You and Zayn have been together for a while." Louis says unsure. "And almost immediately you have a place to stay."

I smile weakly. Sluts stick together.

"I'll always have a place to stay." I murmur truthfully then shrug. "But I want to talk to you about all of this."

"Well, what is it that you would like to talk about then, love?" Louis questions, drinking from his tea.
