"Darkness is the only things that brings out the light." -Me.
"Oh my god!" Eleanor pouts and sniffs as she walks into the house.
I pout, mirroring the expression on her face as I open my arms for her to walk right into.
"He's not dead, he's just gone for a while." I chuckle quietly.
"I hate it when he leaves!" Eleanor says before pulling away and plotting herself on the couch. I join her and she smiles at me.
"I'll keep you company." I smile.
"Yeah that's why I'm glad you're still here. How was work last night anyway? Did you get some sleep when you got back?"
I nod as I pick at my sleeve. "Mhmm yeah I did. It was good."
"Zayn stopped by last night."
My eyes widen. "Ahh yeah I know."
Eleanor frowns. "How?!"
"I talked to him last night after work."
"After work? Jesus isn't that like 3 in the morning?" Eleanor questions.
I nod.
"Are you two back together?"
I frown and shake my head. "No."
Eleanor sighs annoyed and cuddles up to her knees. "Don't get me wrong, you two are so cute together, but I don't trust him."
I nod in silence.
"I mean a few days ago there were photographs of him and Candice going out for lunch."
I frown. "What?"
"Haven't you seen them?"
"Well, no. But I knew they've been like kind of together. He said she was just a fling."
Eleanor nods and raises an eyebrow. "And do you believe him?"
I bite my lip and roll my eyes.
After hearing the new news that she has just told me?
"I don't know."
"Well, Candice was kind of at the airport." Eleanor says, slightly wincing.
I look at Eleanor ridiculously. "What?!"
She shrugs. "I saw her there. But Zayn asked if you were with me so maybe she was flying over to like, I don't know, Japan with her dumb friends."
My face falls into somewhat curiosity and confusion. "I'm so fucked in the head right now."
Eleanor chuckles.
"What were you and Zayn talking about anyway?" She questions.
"Everything." I say after a smile.
Eleanor shakes her head at me after narrowing her gaze. "Lorena! No!"
"What?" I look at her frowning as she points her index finger at me.
"Don't you dare fall for him!" Eleanor says before standing. "We're going to go shopping so you can forget about him."
I can't. It's Zayn.
But because it's Eleanor I nod. "Okay, let's go then."
"No not yet, I just got home." Eleanor frowns. "And I'm hungry."
I roll my eyes dramatically until I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket.
I frown confused as I pull it out.
