Alix, along with the other 1st years was stopped by the prefects by the fireplace where Professor Flitwick was waiting patiently, a proud smile on his face as he eyed the newly added members of their family.

"My name is Marie, I'm the head girl" Marie introduced, beside her was a boy who looked much older than them.

"And I'm Liam, the head boy" Liam said, grinning at the youngest eagles before his eyes landed on Alix and Mina. "WOAH! A ZOUWU!" he shouted which made everyone present at the common room giggle. Marie glared playfully at him before clearing her throat.

"Before you head on to your dormitories, we would like to say something," Marie said.

"We have a few rules in this house. 1st, don't fight with your fellow Ravenclaws. We, the eagles, are beyond that and we don't waste our time bickering with our housemates. 2nd, I know we have the reputation to be the know-it-alls and the overachievers and whatnot but remember, we are nothing like that. No one expects you to take every single class that exists in Hogwarts. No one expects you to have perfect scores in every exam ever so don't ever pressure yourselves" Marie stopped and glanced at Liam to continue, but when he remained to gawk at Mina, Marie had to slap his arm.

"Oh, right, sorry about that" Liam cleared his throat. "Remember to enjoy your time at Hogwarts, learn as much as you can, and most importantly, treat your fellow Ravenclaws as family. Now, Professor Flitwick has some things to say as well" Liam said, moving aside to give the small professor space.

"Thank you, Liam and Marie. Now, the Ravenclaw house will be your home for as long as you stay here. I may not share blood with you all but I will treat you as my own. My office is always open to any eagle, if you're feeling homesick don't bottle it up and tell me. If you're having trouble with your subjects, tell me and I will help you. I may look easy but I won't tolerate any disrespect against your professors, your housemates, and other houses. If I ever hear something unfavorable regarding an eagle, I will not hesitate to punish them, are we clear?" Flitwick stated and although he had a tiny appearance, his presence was surely not. The 1st years, along with Alix muttered 'yes, sir' in agreement.

Flitwick smiled fondly at the youngest Ravenclaws, his grandfatherly demeanor resurfacing. "I know you're all tired from your travels, so it's best for you to retire early," he said.

"Your timetables will be distributed tomorrow, and the prefects will lead you to your classes until you are able to go by yourselves. Have a good evening and once again, welcome to Ravenclaw" Flitwick said. Alix and the others beamed at their head of house.

"Prefects, please lead them to their dormitories" Flitwick ordered and the 2 prefects nodded before ushering the firsties towards the grand staircase that split in opposite directions.

"The girls' dormitories are on the left, and the boys' to the right" Penelope explained.

Alix, along with the other first-year girls said their goodbyes to the boys before heading to the left staircase. Sue was beside Alix with Mina following closely behind them.

Alix arrived at her dormitory, finding out that she's roommates with Sue, Padma, Mandy, and Isobel. Alix was a bit surprised by how spacious the dorm room was. There were 5 canopy beds, 3 of them placed on the right side, and the other 2 placed on the other. A bronze chest was placed at the end of every bed with their trunks on top of them. Alix's trunk was on her hands so there was one chest with nothing on top. The floors were carpeted and the ceiling looked the same as the common room's, bewitched to look like the night sky. A large Ravenclaw banner covered the left wall.

"Oh, they already assigned us which beds to take," Isobel said after reaching her trunk.

"Great, less hassle," Padma said. "Okay, so I guess we don't need to fight which beds to take" she joked and the other girls laughed as well as Alix.
