Ochako was walking in the school. She was excited, and nervous at the same time. She had figured out in the last two months that her feelings for Izuku were more than friendship. With today being Valentines' day, she mustered the courage of making a move on the green broccoli. She decided to leave a box of chocolates with a letter explaining how she felt toward him.

But as she approached his locker, her mind began to be invaded with doubts."What if he doesn't feel the same way? And that I lose him? No, don't be ridiculous. Even if he doesn't return my feelings, he'll continue being my friend. Right?" She was so caught in her thoughts that she didn't notice that someone was in front of her and bump into him.

"What the? Hey, look who it is," said the person in front of her.

She frowned when she saw it was Kaibara. The latter noticed the package she was holding. "Got something for me? I fell flattered," as he tried to take the package, but the girl pushed him back.

"Don't touch that! It's for someone else!"

"Oh common, don't be embraced to admit it."

"Admit what?"

"That you have a thing for me," he confidently replied. "I noticed how you're always even looking at me. You're too embraced to make a move, right?"

Ochako stared at him dumbfounded, "or because I just plain don't like you." She then shoved him out of the way. "So where is his locker," she told herself. This little interaction had ironically given her more confidence in confessing her feelings.

After a quick search, she finally found his locker, "he shouldn't be here for another 10 minutes." She opened his locker (he shared his lock code with her) and put the box in it. She sighed, relieved that she was able to go through this. But now she had to wait for his answer, and in a way, this could be even worst.

When she reached her classroom, she saw that the group of girls with who she talked for a bit on her first day was here. She wasn't as cold to them as the others. Even if they were dismissive of Midoriya, they generally left him alone.

"Hey Uraraka," called Jiro, "you're early today."

"Yeah, I had something important to do," she replied.

"Hum, how convenient that you have something important to do today," pointed out Mina with a suggestive tone. "Does this have something to do with boys?"

Ochako blushed, "I, I don't see what you're talking about."

"Who is he? Did he say yes," jumped Agakure, Mina's accomplice.

"I don't know, I just left the box in his locker," replied Ochako, now the face resembling more like a tomato. "And I'm not telling who."

"Well the answer is kind of obvious really, you've been hanging out with only one boy," commented Yaoyorozu.

"Oh common, don't tell me you're after him?"

"Yes I am," grumbled the brunette, "and I'm not changing my mind."

Meanwhile, Izuku reached his locker, "I have to finish that assignment for tomorrow," he thought to himself. He went to open it but the bell rung, "Shit, I'm late," before he rushed to his class. Fortunately, he had his morning books with him already.

This morning classes were normal, except that Ochako was acting weird. First, she asked him if hehe found something in his locker. He didn't pay much attention, but she seemed quite nervous about something and wouldn't explain why.

The lunch bell rang, so both of them went to the dining hall. For some reason, today, he got more glares from the boys than usual, and when he saw the various messages and chocolate boxes being exchanged. "Crap, I forgot today is valentines day," thought the green-haired boy. He never really gave much attention to this day, mainly because he obviously never received anything and gave up on romantic relationships long ago.

"Maybe that's why Ochako is so nervous, she probably received many letters and other gifts. Does she expect anyone in particular?" This thought scared him, that she one day leave him for someone else. It's not like they can stay friends forever. They'll have their separate lives at one point. But still, he didn't really want to lose his only friend and secret crush, again.

"Anyway, Uraraka, did you had time to finish the project for tomorrow?"

"Oh yeah I'm almost done, but I have difficulties with the last part, so I wondered if you could help me with it?"

"Yes sure, no problem," he replied with a smile, "where do you want to go, at the school library or your home?"

Ochako thought for a second, "what about your place."

A flash of panic pass through his eyes. But he quickly replied, "A sorry no."

Ochako tried to ask why but he quickly changed topic. "By the way, did you received anything today?"

"I don't know, haven't checked my locker yet," she replied. They continued talking during lunchtime.

Unbeknownst to them, they were being observed from afar by Yaoyorozu and Tsuyu.

"No matter what Mina said, they don't seem too bad together after all."

"Yeah, I agree, we shouldn't let her interfere in her love life. She's doing just fine on her own."

Once he was done eating, Izuku went back to his locker. "Damn it, if this continues like this. She'll suspect that I wasn't truthfully with her," thought Izuku. He opened his locker and saw a chocolate box, and froze. Never in his wildest dream did he expect to receive something on Valentines' day. "Wait, what if it's a prank?" He carefully opened it while trying not to get the attention on him. He saw that inside the box were what seemed to be harmless chocolates and a letter signed, Ochako.

"Wait, did she? But why me? Of all people." Izuku was confused by his friend's action, but decided the keep the box and asked her after classes. The day went by, with Ochako immediately asking him if he saw anything in his locker. To which he replied that he'd talk about this after school. This caused the brunette to blush for some reason, making him questioned his judgement on her feelings. But he left that on the back of his head and focused on what the teacher was saying.

When the last bell of the day rang, all the students left the school talking about what they received today. Izuku was about to follow, but Ochako stopped him, her face completely red. "Can we talk now?"

The green-haired teen nodded, staring to blush as well. "Did you got a look at the box?"

Izuku took it out of his bag, "I presume it's from you. I haven't read the letter yet, but your signature was a giveaway."

Ochako took a breath in and continued, "you must think that I'm doing this out of pity, right?"

"Not going to lie, the thought did cross my mind," he replied, scratching the back of his head.

"It is not."

"What?"

"I said this is not because you're my friend and that you never receive anything on Valentine's day. This is my confession to you on how I actually feel about you." Her face was now crimson black, twitching the bottom of her shirt.

Izuku was trying to process what he just heard. His best (only) friend and secret crush for years, just confessed that she liked him back. This felt like a dream to him, and he was scared to wake up.

"But I understand if you don't-," Izuku cut her off, who took her head in his hand and kissed her.

They both stayed there, enjoying the moment they were sharing. Izuku hugged her by the tie while she latched her arms around his neck. They finally let go, and they just stared at each other.

"Does this answer your question?"

"Yeah, I think it does."
