New Beginning

Ochako suddenly woked up, breathing heavily and covered in sweat. That nightmare again, it regularly haunted her nights ever since Izuku's suicide. Tears rolled down her eyes as she thought of that fateful day 7 years ago. 

"Get a hold on yourself Ochako, you need to move on." She never could.

She left her bed and went to the kitchen to make her breakfast, she was on her way treated by her two roommates Tuyu and Yaoyorozu. The three had become good friends after Izuku's death, and they have helped her a lot in her recovery.

"Hey girls, did you slept well?"

"Yes, thank you how about you," replied the black hair girl.

"Hum hum," simply mumbled the frog girl.

"I slept well. And you, you've spent too much time yesterday texting to your emo boyfriend."

"Tokoyami is not emo, and he's just a friend," retort Tsuyu with a blush.

Yaoyorozu put a hand on her shoulder, "Tsuyu, he is wearing all black up to his air, always talking about edgy things and have a pet sparrow called Dark Shadow."

"And every time he is here, you are always spacing and out staring at him," added the brunette.

"Okay okay, maybe I like him a little bit, but can we start making breakfast? I'm starving."

The three girls prepared and ate their breakfast while talking about their job. Tsuyu was holding a small retail store, nothing too crazy but it was enough. Yaoyorozu worked as a sell-man in a car company, even if she was a bit shy at first, she got us to it quickly.

"Oh and I didn't tell you, girls, I got a guy showing up at the store and asked for big-mac. It took me half an hour to tell him this was a car store, and so we didn't sell big-macs."

She earned an incredulous look from her two friends. They had seen some weird shit, but that was something. Tsuyu didn't have much to say, business was going smoothly. She was thinking about opening a goth style section, which earned her further tease from her friends.

"What about you, Uraraka. Anything on your side to share," asked Yaoyorozu.

Talking about her Police work was quite difficult. There wasn't much left to say between the boring stuff and what she wasn't allowed to share. "I just got promoted to Chief-Inspector, outside of that, it has been rather quiet lately."

"Wait, really! I'm so happy for you," exclaimed Tsuyu, hugging her friend. "You've worked so hard for this post."

"Congratulation," said Yaoyorozu.

"Thanks, I couldn't believe it when the hierarchy announce it to me. The formal ceremony of my promotion is in two days." She took a sip of her coffee. "Oh, and also, I saw Kendo the other day. She was reporting a robbery at her place. Did you know she is in a relationship with Monoma?"

"Wait what? The last time I saw her, she was with Tetsutetsu," replied Yaoyorozu surprised. "I nether expected them to break up with him, they seemed to be going well."

"Wait, you to haven't heard of what happened? Uraraka I can understand because we are the only ones she's close to, but you Yaoyorozu."

"What happened," both girls asked.

"The story is quite nasty, Kendo caught Tetsutetsu in bed with Mina. Needless to say, she went completely ballistic and kicked him out, literally."

Hearing this, Yaoyorozu choked on her coffee. "Wait a minute, wasn't Mina dating Kirishima, TetsuTetsu's best friend."

"Yep, now you should say ex-girlfriend because he didn't take the news well."

"I always knew she was a complete bitch," said Ochako. "But I fell bad for Kirishima, even if I was never close to him. What on earth did he saw in her?"

"I don't know to be honest," replied Tsuyu.

"Well she seemed to have gotten over this quite well, but wha-" She was cute by an alarm from her phone. "Sorry, duty call."

"It's okay we were about to leave anyway."

She walked to her room before replying to the call. "Chief Inspector Uraraka on the phone."

"Inspector, you're needed at the station right now. Eneos Holdings suffered a major cyberattack, I'll tell you in more detail in person."

"Okay, I'll be there in a minute." She quickly dressed herself up before leaving for her station. She was quite confused that she was called for something like this. "The hierarchy probably has their reasons, Tsukauchi did say he'll tell me more later on."

After arriving at the station, she was greeted by Tsukauchi. "Ah here you are Ochako."

"Hi Tsukauchi, so what on earth is going on?"

"So this morning, someone tried to break into Eneos' servers, but he was unsuccessful. We don't really know what he wanted from them, but he did enough damage to gain our attention."

"Got it, but why calling me? This kind of case is too big for me, and it's not even in my sector."

"You have to thanks my dad for me, he was the one that involved you, saying that you'll be a great element."

"of course he did," thought the young woman. Commissioner Naomasa Tsukauchi, the head of the police department in Hosu. He seemed to have a soft spot for her, helping her on many occasions. "So, where are things at right now?"

"My dad is currently holding a meeting to organize the searches. They are waiting for a few more personal, including you."

"understood." the two walked toward the meeting room. Once they arrived, the two were greeted by other officers already present. Tsukauchi went to leave the room.

"You're not staying?"

"No, my rank isn't high enough to allow me to participate," explained her friend before leaving.

After everyone showed up, Commissioner Tsukauchi took the front stage. "Thank you for all of you to show up this quickly. I know this was quite sudden, but the thing is that this morning incident wasn't done by some random person," he started explaining. "This man was already on our radar for a while now, but this was his first major hit. He goes by the name of Burokkori and had already been active for a few months already. So far, we know very little about him, except that he has a habit of operating from public wifi and internet cafe making him harder to track."

Tsukauchi turned on a projector showing a map of Hosu and the surrounding. "This is the area where he stages all of his attacks, leading us to believe that this is where he is currently located. We need to keep the whole thing secret from the public, taking him by surprise is our best chance, so I can't afford any leak."

The commissioner used the rest of the meeting to assign search teams before dismissing everyone. Ochako went to her office to join her squad, including inspector Tsukaichi, sergeant Tokoyami and Monoma.

"Guys I hope you're fired up, because we have work to do."
