(This is after the Skylanders fixed the tech problems at the academy with Sprocket)
After the others left, Master Eon called back Spyro in the library. The purple dragon felt upset because he wanted to know about his ancestors. So, he flew to Master Eon and says, "Look, I know you're upset with me for not being here this morning, but I'm upset with you too." "Spyro, I'm-" Master Eon tried to say, but Spyro cuts him out and continued, "You know I've suspected for the longest time that you knew more about what happened to my family than you're willing to say. I WANTED to trust you. I did, Master Eon. But then I found out you lied about knowing who Strykore is. Not just to me, to all of us."
"And I...I can't figure out why you would do that. But I DID figure something out today. I don't wanna be part of a team whose leader is a liar. So I'm DONE being a Skylander." Spyro continued and flew up.
But, before Spyro flew away, Master Eon says, "I...uh." Spyro immediately thrned back to him and yells, "What?!" Without hesitation, Master Eon spoke, "I'll tell you everything right now...but bring Mist. She needs to know this as well." He requested at the end.
Spyro was a bit confused of why he wants to drag Mist into this, but he doesn't question it, so he flew outside to fetch Mist. Once he did, he flew back in the library, along with Mist, as they both followed Master Eon into his Relics room. Letting out a deep sigh, Master Eon opened a box, which contains a fossilized dragon tail that was the SAME tail as Spyro's and he spoke, "All of your dragon-kind were heroes. Some of the most powerful beings the realm has ever seen. They were tasked in protecting the Core of Light. And I was tasked in protecting them. But I failed, Spyro. At the apex of the Great War, a mysterious dark force rose to power."
A flashback was played in the background as Master Eon explained the force. "Strykore." Spyro said while Mist listens. Master Eon nodded and continued, "He was intent on taking over our world and used formidable dark magic to take control of your ancestors and turned them evil. He was going to use them to destroy the Core of Light. I was forced...to make a terrible decision. In order to protect the Core, I used all of my power to send them to another realm." Spyro was shocked at the last part and asked "Wait wait wait wait, another realm?
"That means they're still out there somewhere, right? We can still find them." He continued, but Master Eon shook his head and says, "I'm afraid it's not that simple. The magic I used was unfamiliar, unwieldy, devastating. I...I don't know where I sent them or even if they survived." Spyro looked down with disappointment on his face. "Wait, what does this have to do with me? Why am I here if this was all about Spyro's ancestors?"
Mist suddenly asked as Master Eon went through the box again. This time, he pulled out a crest with a fire and water emblem. It was covered in a lot of rust like it was like 19 years old. Mist sees the crest and immediately recognizes it. "That's...the same crest from my village! Where did you get this?!" Mist asked him with devastation, but Master Eon sighs deeply once more and says, "I did remember saying that I don't know where I sent Spyro's ancestors to, but I believe I have a theory where." Mist was in pure shock from that as she stepped back a little.
"No way...it can't be..." Mist mutters to herself before Master Eon says, "Let me help you refresh your memories." He then placed his hand on her forehead and makes a white light onto her forehead. After he did, he started chanting a spell. He also did the same to Spyro so that he could see Mist's memory of her village. Through the memory lane, Mist and Spyro reached to one memory before the dragon attack as they saw the elves here living peacefully. Spyro saw the smaller versions of Mist and Flare. Suddenly, the whole village was engulfed by flames as a strange portal appeared and Spyro's evilized ancestors came out and attacks the village. Mist was in deep shock as she watched the dragons burning down the town's hard work of environment and was more shocked after seeing the dragons have the SAME tail pattern that Spyro has.
After the trip down to Memory Lane, both Spyro and Mist regain their consciousness. Spyro looks at the teal haired elf and saw her hugging herself tightly. I guess knowing that your best friend/love interest's ancestors destroyed her village and killed her parents would affect her deeply. Spyro felt bad for her before reaching his hand out to her to comfort her. "Mist, I-" He was about to say, but Mist cuts him off by slapping his claw away. She has an angry tone along with a raged expression on her face as she yells, "No! Don't come close to me! I can't believe I trusted a dragon whose ancestors killed my parents!"
"Mist, please. This is not Spyro's fault." Master Eon said, trying to reassure her, but suddenly, "You're right. It's BOTH your faults!" Mist yelled at them. The two males were shocked at her words as she continued, "Not only that Spyro's ancestors were the ones that destroyed my home village and killed my parents, but YOU sent them to MY realm! I never want to see your faces! EVER AGAIN!"
Mist then rushed out of the Relics Room, trying her best to keep her tears from falling. "Mist!" Master Eon calls to her, but she ignored him and ran off. He then looks at Spyro, noticing his expression with hurt and pain. He walks to him and says, "I am so sorry, Spyro." Spyro's expression changed to an upset look as he says, "You're "sorry"? You obliterated my family, my ENTIRE race. You sent them off to HER realm and let them attack her village."
"And you're "sorry"?" Spyro continued before floating down to the ground and looks away from Master Eon. He kneeled to Spyro's height and says, "Spyro, I..." Spyro looks at him and says, "Too late." Spyro then flew out of the Relics Room while Master Eon tries to reassure him. "Spyro, I didn't mean to-" Master Eon tried to say, but Spyro interrupts him and says, "We're DONE, Eon. And I'll never forgive you for this." With that, Spyro flew out of the library. Both Spyro and Mist left...because...of...him.
