While the Skylanders have gone to the Citadel, Mist stayed behind to watch over the terribly ill Master Eon with Hugo. After hearing about the Doom Raider's first attempted assault, she stayed in the library as the cadets, Snap Shot and Ka Boom set up a perimeter outside. Just then, Kaos and Glumshanks were walking to the academy while Kaos was dressed like his mother and Glumshanks has a shark fin on his head. "Remember the plan, Glummy." Kaos said and Glumshanks responds, "I wish I could forget, but alas..." Just then, Hugo ran up to them and asks, "Uh, excuse me, can I help you?" Kaos began to speak in a woman's voice and says, "Uh, yes. My son here wants to attend Skylander Academy, so we've come to tour the campus."
Hugo looks at them both and asks Glumshanks, "And what powers do you possess that qualify you to become a Skylander?" Glumshanks rolls his eyes a bit and says, "Uh, well, you see, I've got this fin, right? So obviously, I'm a shark. And I use bubble gum bubbles to...to, uh, blow my enemies away. For I am the all-mighty Gum Shark." He growled weakly and blew a bubble gum and pops it. "Right. You might want to start considering a nice tech school, young man. As for now, the academy is on high alert, so I must insist you come back another day."
Hugo said as he tries to lead the two away. Kaos got in the way and says, "And I insist you choke on this!" He shot dark lightning at the Mabu, sending him back. That caused Snap Shot and Ka Boom to notice until they see Kaos taking off the wig. "It's Kaos!" Ka Boom said as Kaos unleashed a dark purple ball and tossed it towards them. The attack broke down the door and knocks both Snap Shot and Ka Boom down. Mist heard the commotion and rushed outside, gasping to see Kaos attacking the academy.
"The main hall. Let's go Glummy." Kaos said, wiping off the lip stick and went to the door. Mist ignites her fists, but Bad Breath, Hex and Roller Brawl got in front as Skull says, "The only place you're goin' is down, pal." Roller Brawl looks back at Perla and says, "You go get Master Eon, we'll take care of Kaos." Mist nodded and heads inside as Wind-Up, Food Fight and Trigger Happy appeared as well as Wind-Up said, "And don't forget about us." Glumshanks looked worry and says, "Well, it seems we're outnumbered, sir, so..." Kaos cackled and shot a dark ball at Wind-Up after he had jumped up, sending him back on the ground. Food Fight and Trigger Happy shot at Kaos, but he deflects their attacks and knocks them down.
Roller Brawl, Bad Breath and Skull leaped to Kaos and deflects his dark orbs, but Kaos puts a barrier around himself and knocks the three cadets down. Suddenly, foot steps were heard as the Doom Raiders and Kassondra came in before Chompy Mage says, "Didn't anyone teach you it's dangerous to play with blades?" His Chompy Puppet spoke, "Ha! Sweet wordplay, Chompy Mage." Kaos then sees his mother and says, "Mother?" "Kaos?! I told you to keep him busy!" Kassondra scolds Glumshanks, but he says, "I tried, ma'am, but his powers, they've grown. I've never seen him have such command of his magic."
"And I hate to say this, but...it's impressive." Kaos smirked and says, "You hear that, mother? I'm getting stronger and it's all because of your book, and I'm getting it back for you. Consider it an early Mother's Day gift." Flare got impatient and says, "Oh for the love of, can we finish this inside the academy?" Golden Queen nods and says, "Wolfie, lay the cadets down a serious...hypnogroove." Wolfgang held his bone harp and let out a howl before strumming it. A purple wave flows through the cadets, Snap Shot and Ka Boom as they were all under the spell of the hypnogroove.
Inside the library, Mist rushed in to see Master Eon sleeping on the couch, so she went over and shakes him awake and Eon looks at her. "Mist?" Master Eon said before Mist told him, "Master Eon, the academy is under attack by Kaos! I need to put you inside the relics vault for your protection." She grabs Eon by the arm and brought him towards his statue and lifts up its head. The first layer of the bookshelf lowers down to reveal the second bookshelf as Mist quickly pressed the red button and the scanner starts to scan Master Eon before it says, "Weirdly soaked facial hair recognized. Welcome, Master Eon." The second bookshelf lowers down and Mist took Eon inside.
