{ Chapter 31 }

Naruto awoke on a hospital bed. He opened his eyes, and was instantly blinded by the shining lights.

"AH FUCK- oh shit that's bright..."

"I see you've awoken." Naruto looked to his right, seeing a particular Hyuga.

"Aren't you that dude that Shikamaru fucked?" Naruto asked.

Neji opened his mouth to say something, but then closed it again and pouted to the side with his arms crossed, a light blush on his face. Naruto grinned at this.

"Oh~ So he did do it..~"

"No.."

"Oh really? Then explain your reaction..~" Naruto teased.

"I fucked him..." Neji said in a whisper.

"Huh?" Naruto didn't hear of course.

"I said I fucked him! He wanted to be bottom cause top would apparently be 'too troublesome'... As if I would let him be top either ways.."

"OHHHH anyways yeah, sounds like Shikamaru. Anyways, why am I here-"

The memories suddenly came flooding into Naruto's head. The execution, Sasuke coming to save him, the dog puppet, and the dude who stole Naruto's color. Oh that dude... Naruto was getting pissed just thinking about it. Wait, Sasuke had come to save him-

Naruto winced because of some pain. He had jolted up when he recalled the whole Sasuke thing, completely forgetting he was in a hospital bed.

"Lay back down."

"No dur that's what I'ma do!" Naruto laid back, feeling useless as he couldn't even get up. "Anyways, where are the others? And why/how am I here? Shouldn't I be dead? Is Shikamaru okay? And yeah I'm only asking about Shikamaru cause Sasuke's a bitch. You should know about Shika you're fuck buddies. Any who, why aren't you hurt? Weren't you fighting? Nobody gets healed that fast. It's only been like 10 hours right? Doesn't matter, you gotta give me some of that healing stuff. And your skincare routine while you're at it. Also, when am I gonna be executed? They should've done it by now to be honest.."

Neji sighed.

"Sasuke and Shikamaru are at a court case trying to prove your innocence. You're here since you got knocked out during battle. Yes, Shikamaru is okay, and I know you want to know if Sasuke's okay, so yeah, he is. I will not give you my skincare routine. If everything goes right, you won't be executed, and don't say that. Sasuke's my friend, and his heart would break if he knew you were dead. And as for myself being healed.." Neji hesitated at the next part. "Let's just say you've been in a coma for a month. The three of us are pretty much okay by now, but I can see you're not. Or at least not yet. By the looks of the results, you should be fine in a week."

"What's the point of being fine in a week if I'm gonna die anyways." Neji looked at Naruto with a face. He couldn't believe that came out of the blond's mouth. Shikamaru had told him that Naruto was a very energetic and happy person. Shika had said he never gave up, and although he may seem stupid, he's really a great person and friend in the end. Hearing those words come out of the guy he heard so highly of wasn't very assuring.

"What are you saying Naruto? Believe me, you won't die. The three of us worked on the folder. You will not be executed by that measly excuse of a human."

"Ouch, that hurt even me Neji lmao, but if you three worked on it then I guess I will survive.. but that kind of messes up my whole plan of pretending to be the Akatsuki. I guess I could still try tracking them down though... I'll have to train a lot more if I wanna defeat them."

"You're forgetting one thing."

"Huh?" Naruto was confused. What could he be forgetting?

"Your life with Sasuke."

Naruto's jaw dropped at this.

"EXCUSE ME?? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? I HAVE NO LIFE WITH THAT DUCK-ASS!"

"Calm down Naruto, we're in a hospital, others are trying to rest. Also, don't lie to me. I can tell you and Sasuke love each other very much. I can see it in your guy's eyes. Even now, when you talk bad about him, saying you hate him and stuff like that, I see your hurt. Yet I still see your deep affection and endearment towards him. He may have hurt you, but you still love him. You don't want to let him go, and you shouldn't." Naruto was dumbfounded. Neji just explained Naruto's feelings in a nutshell. He turned his head to the ceiling again, staring at the lights. The blond then smiled, and soon laughed a little.

"Ha.. you figured me out Neji.. but who knows how Sasuke feels... That stoic face of his hides everything.. Kami I'm stupid for falling for him.." Naruto could feel his eyes burning. All his feelings converted into something called tears.

"You're not stupid for falling for him, because he fell for you too."

Naruto's head whipped to the right again.

"He admitted to it, and even if he hadn't, I could still see it in his eyes. Your name alone brings so much sorrow. He feels horrible every time we talk about you. I can clearly see he regrets everything he did to you and more. Sasuke didn't want this this to happen. He didn't want you to get this hurt, or get hurt at all. He wishes he could go back in time and start over, but we know that's not possible yet." Neji sighed with a smile. "What I'm trying to say is, Sasuke loves you dearly as well. Don't give up on him so easily Naruto." The blond was dumbfound once again. Neji sure knew how to word things. Naruto was still unsure though.

"Neji, are you sure? I mean, it's just his eyes.."

"Naruto, I can guarantee you I'm not wrong. I got your feelings in a nutshell am I right?"

"Well yeah but.."

"But?"

"I need assurance.."

Suddenly, they heard footsteps down the hall. Neji turned on his Byakugan, and smirked.

"Well, here comes your assurance."
