{ Chapter 33 }

Like 15 minutes later

The two pairs were walking outside to Sasuke's car.

"Ah so that's what happened!"

The other three were explaining everything about the fight to Naruto, from start to finish.

"Yeah. If it weren't for the nine-tails chakra inside of you, you'd probably be dead." Naruto shivered at the Hyuga's statement.

"Anyways, I have to get going. I have something to do at home." Neji started walking to his own car.

"I do as well." Shikamaru did the same. Sasuke and Naruto just smirked at each other. They knew why they were both leaving..

"-sigh- Well, Naruto wanna go Ichiraku?"

"YES." Naruto pretty much ran the rest of the way to the car, calling Sasuke a slowpoke.

"Hey! I'm the one taking you so don't give me that attitude!" Sasuke joked around as he got inside, starting the car's engine.

"Sasuke-sama, come on. You'll take me either ways if I ask in the right way~"

"OH IS THAT BAD BUNNY? YEAH IT IS." Sasuke cranked up on Dakiti.

"You know I was humming to that song on my way to get executed?" Sasuke glanced at Naruto.

"Really?" Sasuke's voice almost broke.

"Yeah. It's funny how I hated you, but liked you at the same time. Ha, oh the good old times. I knew you wanted to turn me in, yet I still fell for you somehow. Isn't that weird? It hurt though. Thinking how I could never be loved by you considering we were in different parts of society. I was already being rejected without words." Naruto looked at Sasuke with a sad smile. Sasuke's heart broke at this.

"Naruto, I'm so sorry for all of that. I don't know why I was so stupid. Please forgive me for everything." Sasuke looked back at the road in shame, not able to look at Naruto's hurt face, knowing he had caused that pain.

"It's alright Sasuke! All that is in the past. The only thing that matters now is if we're happy in present time!" Naruto grinned. Sasuke felt the happiness radiate off Naruto, and he could tell it wasn't fake. It was genuine happiness. This made Sasuke happy as well. He drove the rest of the way with a small smile.

At Ichiraku

"Can I get your biggest size of Miso Tonkotsu?"

"Sure! And for you young man?"

"I'll get a small beef one please."

"Sure thing! I'll be back in a bit with your food!" The waiter picked up the menus and walked away carrying them.

"Well he was enthusiastic.."

"Of course he is! Who would be acting down if they worked at a ramen restaurant?" Sasuke looked to the side with that "face" that said "ummmm totally me...". Naruto noticed and just sighed.

"Of course you wouldn't like it.."

"You figured?" Naruto just laughed.

"Same old Sasuke huh? I'm glad you didn't change." Naruto raised his hand to touch Sasuke's cheek (they're sitting in front of each other, it's an actual like, big restaurant in this story and they're in like a booth thing, you know what I mean?). "I did fall for that sarcastic personality after all." Naruto smiled warmly, his eyes closed = ͡ ◡ ͡

This warmed Sasuke's heart. He couldn't believe such sweet words could come from Naruto's mouth. He smiled back, and as they waited for their food, they continued to talk.

Once the food came

"Itadakimasu!" Naruto started gobbling down on the bowl right away, very quickly. Sasuke sweat-dropped.

"Uh, Naruto might wanna slow down a little bit people are staring..." Naruto brought down his empty bowl a little aggressively.

"Have they been in prison for two weeks with no ramen? Have they Sasuke? HAVE THEY?"

"Alright alright I get it, just lower down your voice.." Naruto laughed.

"You really haven't changed." Sasuke looked up at Naruto, who had his warm smile once again. He blushed, almost spitting out his ramen. Naruto's genuine face was too much for Sasuke's dark heart. Fortunately, it was being enlightened by the one and only Naruto. His one and only sunshine. Sasuke smiled again, surprising Naruto.

"You've been smiling an awful lot today Sasuke. Doesn't it hurt your face? I mean you never smiled when I was at your house, I'm surprised you even know how to do it-" Sasuke got an anime vein.

"Of course it doesn't hurt dobe! Why would it? Sure I may not smile a lot, but that doesn't mean I don't know how! Ugh, you usuratonkachi.." Naruto laughed and grinned. He was glad everything was back to normal. He sighed with a smile.

"Well, I guess I should get going now. I still need to go the police station, and then I gotta look for a hotel or somewhere to stay meanwhile." Naruto got up. "I'll pay you back when I get money alright? Anyways, I'll see you later-" Naruto was grabbed by the wrist as he was walking, causing him to look back.

"Huh? What is it Sasuke?" The raven looked to the side, embarrassed about what he was about to say next. After a few moments, Naruto started getting annoyed by this.

"Just spit it out shy guy!" Sasuke got an anime vein again.

"Ugh fine you impatient jerk! I was gonna ask if you wanted to stay at my house, at least for a while! It's fine if you don't though, considering I understand you don't want to live with someone as "shy" as me!" Naruto stared at Sasuke's slightly red face. He was a tad bit embarrassed about having to say that like that. Naruto beamed.

"I would love to stay at your house!" Sasuke looked up at Naruto with surprise. He actually agreed?

"R-really?"

"Of course! I mean, it'll pretty much be like a couple moving in!" Naruto sat back down in front of Sasuke. "We are a couple, right?" Naruto asked, seeming straightforward. He hid it well, but he was quite skittish about his and Sasuke's relationship. Were they friends? Lovers? Friends with benefits? He wanted to know. Nevertheless, Naruto was anxious for the answer, hoping he would get what he wanted to hear.

Sasuke was dumbfounded. Naruto wanted them to be a couple?! Seemed like it. I mean, the raven was all for it.

"If you want to be one then I guess.." Sasuke said, looking to the side, blush on his face. Naruto skyrocketed on the inside.

"Yes. We are now a couple." Naruto smiled at Sasuke, and Sasuke smiled back. This made him happy indeed. He soon finished his ramen and headed out with Naruto after paying.

"That was a good meal!"

"For you.."

"Of course! You know I love ramen!"

"Ha, yeah. Let's just head home." The couple got in the car, and sped to Sasuke's house.
