Nightfall was soon upon us and we are prepared for what is going to happen. A few hours ago, Mayor Hover and Oliver evacuate the citizens to a much safer area while leaving only myself, Lexi, Nean, and Cobalt behind to fight the Goblins.
The sun was about to set so it means that the Goblins will arrive any minute. The windblown by and the sun shined brightly near the horizon. We stood in front of the golden wheat fields and looked at the forest up ahead of us.
"So..what are we supposed to do?" Levi asked who is wielding her sword.
I explained to the little blonde, "Just defend the fields at all cost. If they retreat, follow them. They will take us to their base."
"Well, I hope this plan of yours will work." Nean said, "By the way, we haven't seen you fight before."
Then the sword kid spoke up. "Yeah! I want to see you do spells and stuff!" Lexi stared at me with her eyes sparkling with excitement.
I slowly turned my head to the two and looked away facing the forest. "Then try to keep up."
Now that they mentioned it, they haven't seen me fight before. Other than my fight back at the guild, they didn't get to see me in action. Surely they saw me block the arrow when we first meet but that's beside the point. They just don't know what I am capable of.
Once the sun was out of sight, the moon slowly arises along with the sky turning dark and the stars started to twinkle.
Then, the leaves in the forest started to shake. I heard the stomping of footsteps approaching us as it suddenly became louder and louder. Until...
The Goblins had finally arrived...
An army of them revealed themselves through the leaves. They had different shades of green, hideous faces, and messy hair. Some of the Goblins are wearing rusty armor and are equipped with iron spears and swords while others are wearing ragged clothing and only had a stick as a weapon.
I held out my long magic staff and in a minute, I sprint towards them at rapid speed.
My staff started to charge up with magic particles and a glowing orb appeared at the end of it. It has a shade of blue, purple, and white.
I then swing my staff with all my might and the orb was sent flying toward the enemies. Once it hit, the orb let out a huge explosion which damaged a few Goblins and some of the crop fields.
The smoke clears out and the enemies were standing there in shock. They are facing a Mage after all.
That spell is something I learned from my master. It was difficult to control but I was able to master it on my 8th birthday.
The Goblins snapped out of their thoughts and continued rushing to battle.
"Okay, now that you know what I am capable of?" I said to the three of them.
Lexi staring in awe about my Bending Blow. Cobalt seemed impressed about it. And as for Nean, she only turns away from me not giving a reaction.
We turned back to see to Goblins continued approaching. They are not backing down just yet and were letting out their battle cry. Nean and Lexi soon returned to their senses and started to attack them together.
Lexi charged at the green monsters and scarred them with her sword only to make them unconscious. The Goblins fell to the ground in agony and some were still attacking. Suddenly, one of the fallen monsters tried to stab Lexi in the back but luckily Nean was able to shoot it at the back of its head, defending the sword kid from afar.
Meanwhile, with Cobalt and I, we were attacking the Goblins that were only focused on us instead. The Mystic equipped 2 daggers and stabbed a few Goblins one by one while briefly dodging their attacks at ease. Looks like someone is being serious.
