Cobalt's POV
(A few hours ago before Ria and the children left GoldenFields)
I stared as Ria, Lexi, and Nean left, disappearing into the trees. I should've thanked them for helping me to stop Dashitall since I had the chance to but it never crossed my mind. I was only worried about my pack and nothing else. If it wouldn't for Ria's plan, I could never defeat Dashitall.
================================
Mystics are stronger than humans because of their effective strength. But even so, I couldn't even lay a finger on the enemy. Am I simply that weak?
When I transformed into a Horned Wolf for the first time, my fur becomes pure white.
The Horned Wolves have fur colored in shades of grey, blue, and white. The darker the color, the stronger it is. And since I have white fur, I was considered a weak member of the pack.
"When you carry around someone weak, they will only drag you down." Those words are what the alpha once told me long ago.
Because of that, I wanted to show them that I am just strong as them so I always keep watch outside of the village in case of anyone trespassing the turf. But that alone, wouldn't help me at all.
Now that the alpha I served under for years is nothing but a fraud, his words no longer mean to me anymore. Even so, I wanted to save my pack, the pack that outcasts me from the rest. Despite their actions, I don't want them to be taken away from me.
From following the horrible scent of the Goblins, I soon found out that they were tormenting the village with golden crops. I have never been outside of the forest before so I rarely know anything about humans.
But as I watch them in the daylight, they were suffering from it. This gave me a strong feeling to help them but my brain kept on telling me that I should only focus on my pack. At that point, I don't know what to do.
That's when I remembered Ria, I never know her name before because I always called her 'human'. She was an amazing fighter who could strategize a battle plan in a short time. And so, I tried to search for her for 2 weeks but couldn't find her.
Soon as I found those children in the crop fields, one of them suddenly attack me and I had no choice but to fight back, thinking that they were a threat but eventually I found Ria. And the rest was history as we know it.
================================
My thoughts were then interrupted by the Goblin Cheif Dashitall who called out my name. I turned around to see him with a long staff made out of wood.
"Your alpha has sent me to fetch you, I'm not sure why, however, I hope you two would sort things out," Dashitall spoke in a hopeful tone. But more importantly, what does that wolf want from me this time?
As I went past the old Goblin, he let out a tired sigh. I am not sure why he wanted to see me after everything he has done. But, whatever he wants from me, I wouldn't listen to a thing.
I walked into the dull cave, where my only sources of light are the hanging lanterns from the dripstones that were burning a beaming flame to shine my way.
Later on, I saw a few of the Horned Wolf pups along the way. They were playing around as they chase each other's tails. Two are coated in harbor gray fur while one of them has teal fur along with a white belly.
They soon smelled me coming, so they started to run towards me with their small legs going at full speed.
"It's Cobalt!" "Hello!" "Hi, Big brother Cobalt!" All three pups rejoiced in excitement with their tails wagging rapidly. Some of the pups in the pack liked to ask me to play with them even if their mothers told them not to.
