Ria's POV

"Everyone! Run!" I cried out with all my might as my legs pushed faster through the trees trying to move away from any obstacles stopping me from going.

Lexi and Nean were close behind me, following along as they are hastily running out of breath. As I turned my head, I was able to take a glance at the thing that is chasing us.

It was a wild boar, except that it looked more different than I could've imagined.

The monster's body is about a size of an enormous boulder, has a bloody shade of red for its grizzled coat instead of its original color, dark brown. A set of pointed tusks were growing on either side of its snout.

Drool came running down from its mouth while steam was furiously coming out of the nostrils on his snout.

Hungry and dangerous red eyes began to glare back at me, and so I quickly turned away.

An hour earlier before we were placed in this situation,

Nean, Lexi, Cobalt, and I were all going out on our quest for the day until suddenly Lexi needed to stop for a minute to do her business since she drank too much water this morning.

In a nearby forest, while waiting for her, something appeared in front of us. T hat's where we stumble upon the wild boar. It suddenly started to chase us with rage for no intention.

All of us tried to fight it, but unfortunately, none of our attacks was able to affect it. This reminded me of the time where we faced Dashitall who was under a spell that turned him into a killing machine.

As we were fighting, the boar became even angrier and strangely started to grow bigger every time I cast a spell at it. Which was odd, knowing that there isn't anything like that here in Philia.

Eventually, that's when we had no choice but to run away.

"I knew this would happen! All because Lexi told us to stop moving!" Nean retorted Lexi in anger.

"I need to go to the bathroom!" Lexi argued back at the little archer.

"There is no bathroom in the forest!" The little archer snapped as her eyebrows were crossed.

Before they were about to have another argument, I was able to stop them. "Now is not the time to argue, we need to get out of here. Cobalt is buying us some time to escape, so keep moving!"

Soon I heard a loud hustle in the trees, guessing that Cobalt was planning to ambush the boar. I turned my head and saw the Mystic jump out from the bushes and hold out his daggers ready to fight. Let's hope Cobalt will be okay on his own.

We continue to run without quitting until eventually, we were far enough from the boar monster. Because of all of the running, I thought we should regain our strength before anything else.

The two children took a seat on a fallen log while I sat across them on a rock that is covered by overgrown moss.

As I searched through my inventory bag for a bottle of water, unexpectedly I heard a familiar and garish growl in the distance.

Turning my head to see where it is coming from, the rustling of leaves blew by the strong wind passing along with strange growling becoming louder and louder.

That's when I finally saw it through the distant bushes, two bright red eyes glaring at me until it finally revealed itself.

The wild boar has found us!
