"Are you sure she will be okay here, Miss Ann?" I asked that question to the lady in front of me for the 5th time this morning.
Ever since that day when Nean had her leg injured, she had to remain at the B&B most of the time.
And you might be wondering what about Isla's healing spell. Well, the spell worked though the spell didn't heal her leg completely, it helps recover faster.
That means Nean could be back on her feet soon in about 2 weeks.
I doubled checked my bag to see if I already restocked my healing potions this time.
It almost took me hours to create more potions with the lack of ingredients that I could gather but in the end, I was able to make a decent amount.
While I closed it up, I heard Miss Ann saying,
"It's fine! It's fine! I will keep her here until she feels better." Miss Ann smiled as she showed her thumb up.
She had been a great help in taking care of Nean while, Cobalt, Lexi, and I were away on quests.
At first, I thought it would be tough for her to handle since she has work to do around the B&B. However, it doesn't seem to be a problem for her.
Miss Ann would even make her sweet and sour tomato stew along with a glass of milk to wash it all down.
I could still remember her reaction when we brought Nean back from the guild. She was panicking in shock and immediately take out a first-aid kit she had hidden on a nearby bookshelf. To be honest, I didn't notice that before.
Nevertheless, I appreciate her concern for Nean.
Cobalt who was standing beside me was looking around the room before asking Miss Ann. "What about Lexi? Why isn't she here?"
"Oh, she is with Nean right now. I guess she is just worried that she will be lonely here." Miss Ann answered as her fingers covered her lips.
It would make sense because, in the past few days, Lexi was countlessly worried about Nean and where she would stay behind to be by the little archer's side.
She is concerned not just because Nean is injured and couldn't go on quests with us but because her attitude suddenly changed.
The young archer doesn't insult me as usual nor she didn't oppose any questions I ask her.
I can't be sure what the reason is but maybe once she feels better, she could be back to herself again.
Don't get me wrong, she may be rude or act like a brat sometimes. However, I don't like this sudden-
No, it's no use worrying, she will be fine.
"I see. Then, we will be on our way." I quickly replied as I make my way toward the front door.
Just as I was about to reach the door handle, a hand was suddenly placed on my shoulder but in a gentle manner.
Turning my head behind me to see who it was, I catch Miss Ann with a worried look on her face. Why is she looking at me like that?
"Hold on, Ria Bane. You forgot your lunch."
She then held up a medium-sized wooden box with small rosebuds carved onto the sides of it.
Inside the box are a side of a freshly large spinach salad topped with chopped cherry tomatoes, sliced onions, and baby carrots squished between two small slices of bread.
And on the other side are two fried fish fillets drizzled with a tasty sauce, and sesame seeds, and finally in the center is a blueberry muffin surrounded by buttery biscuits.
