A/N: The way the timeline works doesn't really allow for summer vacations so I'm just gonna say they all moved up a grade.
August 3rd Mission Creek High School (Maddie's POV)-
We were in the school hallway and for whatever reason Chase had challenged Adam to an arm wrestling match. Leo and I were trying to convince him not to do it.
"Chase, there's no way you can beat Adam arm-wrestling." Leo tried. "It'd be like a chicken wrestling an alligator. All we hear is a cock-a-doodle crunch."
"Chase, honey, I love you but no one could beat Adam. I could count on one hand the people I have met that have strength anywhere near Adam's."
"They're right, bro. Your spaghetti arms are no match for these meatballs." Adam kissed each and everyone of his muscles.
"Hey... When you're done kissing your girlfriends, let's do this." The brothers moved their hands getting into position.
"Or maybe you come to kiss your girlfriend." I tried and he sent me a wink.
"Better back up, Maddie. You're in the splatter zone." Bree laughed, pulling me back a step.
"Okay, I want a clean match. No whining, screaming, crying, or tap-outs. I'm looking at you Chase." Chase scoffed. "Three, two, one, go!"
He licked the palm of his hand before locking it with Adam's before slamming it down winning the competition. Adam groaned in disgust.
"Ugh! Hey! No fair! He licked his hand!" I had to admit it was a smart play.
"Exactly. Clever beats strong any day." He smiled.
"Chase wins." Leo raised his hand in celebration. "Wait, which hand did you lick?"
"That one." Leo dropped said hand moving to lift the opposite one.
"Mmm. Chase wins." He dropped his hand whipping his hand clean.
"Nice job baby." I hugged his side and he threw his arm over my shoulder.
"Hey guys, how's it going?" Marcus said as he joined us. How did no one notice how he was gone for a whole month.
"Ooh, bundle up, everyone. It just got partly creepy with a hundred percent chance of annoying." Leo said with a voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Oof. Am I gonna need my umbrella for that?" Adam asked.
"So, you guys wanna hang out at my house after school? We just got a sick new flat screen." Marcus offered. I needed to be nicer to him so I could gain some trust with him. He did attack me when I was with Leo but he still liked me more.
"Is it as sick as you make me? 'Cause that'd be pretty sick." Leo grinned.
"Don't be mean Leo." I broke away from Chase and Marcus's eyes followed.
"We'd love to hang out today." Chase answered. How could the smartest man in the world be so oblivious.
"Chase is too polite to say it, so I'll say it for him. You're a lunatic, and we're leaving." Leo push all four of us towards the door.
"Leo!" "Leo, come on." "Leo, I was not gonna say that at all." They protested as Leo push us further.
"Yeah, and we're walking. Go. Go on. Go. Out." He got the three of them outside before turning back to Marcus. "Nice try. See you later, Captain eyebrow."
"Captain Eyebrow?" he shrugged and we moved to walk out before the door closed on us.
"What the...? How did you...?" We turned to find Marcus behind us controlling the door.
