One year ago:

"You need to stop pacing," Plagg said.

"Mhm."

"Hey, Ladybug is on tv, Adrien." The kwami said.

"Mhm."

"Your father just sent you a text saying he's pulling you out of school." Plagg over-dramatically gasped.

"Mhm."

Adrien kept pacing back and forth in his room, and it began to worry Plagg.

"Do you want to play video games?" Plagg asked.

Adrien stayed quiet.

"We can play a duet on the piano."

He still stayed quiet.

"Marinette is calling you."

Adrien quickly ran to his phone and saw no calls, "Plagg!"

"Finally, you say something, Blondie!" The black cat yelled.

"She's been acting so weird, Plagg. Marinette won't talk to me; she's not talking to Alya or anyone!" Adrien shouted.

"Why are you so stressed, Adrien? You should be happy right now! You finally got over Ladybug; then you broke up with Kagami!" Plagg sighs.

"Moving on from Ladybug, yes. I still feel bad about the Kagami thing, but none of that matters now!" Adrien yelled.

He kneeled then sat on the floor, "I'm so worried about her, Plagg. She's had bags under her eyes for weeks and has been distant with everyone!"

"Maybe she's still talking to people, and you just don't see it," Plagg commented.

"Who would it be? Because it's not her best friend, it's not me; it's not Nino, who she's known for years!"

Plagg cleared his throat and saw Adrien's glare stick to him from the corner of his eye.

"I didn't say it!" The kwami whimpered.

Adrien stomped to the window and looked down at his phone again, "It's seven."

"Good observation." His kwami snarked.

"You don't get it. This is when Marinette goes to her rooftop and sketches her designs." Adrien sighed.

"That's a little stalker-ish of you to know that, Adrien."

"No, I know that because of patrols. Also, Marinette doesn't have her phone while sketching and never answers from seven to nine-ish."

Plagg sighed, "Can I at least eat before we stalk your Lady."

Adrien threw him a slice of camembert, "It's not stalking."

"It really sounds like stalking because you're not her boyfriend!" Plagg yelled as he grew irritated with his holder, "Because I'm pretty sure that's Luka!"

Adrien grunted and slammed his fist on the piano, "Claws out!"

Chat Noir's pov/thoughts:

If she's not talking to any of us, it must be Luka. She would have told her friends if they were dating, though. I can ask Juleka; she'll know for sure! But, wait, that's not her place to tell and not my place to pry like that. Why has Marinette been so sad lately? And why has seeing her like this made my feeling all the clear?

There she is!

Of course, she's here, it's seven, and she's sitting on the balcony... Is- Is that a blank page? Why is it a blank page? Why is she not sketching designs or drawing anything? Draw something, Princess... Please. Something is going on! Damn it; this is so wrong! I shouldn't be watching her from the shadows of a rooftop; I should ask her what's wrong! No, then she'll know I've been watching her and what if she gets mad? What are you doing to me, Marinette? This is so stupid; I should ask her what's happening!
