"Marinette?"
"What? Who's waking me up so early? I can hear birds outside instead of cars." Marinette groaned
"I thought you'd recognize your boyfriend's voice. What a letdown." Adrien sighed.
Marinette shot up and threw a blanket over her head, "What are you doing here? How did you get in my room?"
"I came to get a coffee and see what you were up to, your parents said I could just come up." He deadpanned.
"Close your eyes! I look terrible!" She screamed.
"Mari, in the nicest way, I don't care what you look like. If I did, I wouldn't be here."
Marinette climbed down the ladder while still covered with a blanket and walked to her desk, "Why are you here, then?"
"Because I'm supposed to bring a partner for fencing practice today and I was wondering if you'd like to join me." Adrien smiled.
She walked up to him and placed an eye mask on his head before taking off the blanket, "There."
"If it makes you feel better, Mari." He shrugged.
"Yes, it does because I need to get ready for school."
"It's Saturday, clumsy." Adrien yawned.
"Saturday? You woke me up this early on a Saturday?!" Marinette sobbed.
"I'll make it up to you with lunch... After fencing." He awkwardly scratched his hair, "Can I take this off yet, Mari?"
"No. When's this fencing thing?" She asks.
"In an hour. Alix is gonna be there and she's bringing someone, too. Kagami's gonna be there."
"Shit. Kagami!" Marinette gasped.
"What's wrong?" Adrien asked.
"She doesn't know we're dating. I'm her friend who started dating her ex! She's gonna hate me." A distressed Marinette squealed.
"She knew I liked you." He shrugs.
"What? What the hell are you talking about?"
"I mean, it's why we broke up. It's a longer story but, she knows."
"That's why you two broke up? Why didn't I know about this sooner, Adrien?!"
"I dunno." He deadpanned.
Marinette jumped on him and held herself up by locking her arms behind his neck, "That's not fair. I feel like I should tell her something."
Adrien put his hand on her face and trailed his thumb to her lip, "Shh," He whispered, "It's all gonna be fine, alright? She honestly encouraged me to date you, ya know."
"No, I didn't know that." She scoffed, "Since when do things like that happen?"
"Since everyone saw what we couldn't, Mari. We were both blind."
"Yes but, we have glasses now." Marinette giggled.
"Exactly. So, will you let me take you to lunch after fencing? It would mean the world to me for you to be there." He smiled.
"Fine. But, you owe me way more than just lunch. You can go somewhere with me next!"
"Where do you have in mind, little lady? I mean it's only fair, I guess." Adrien chuckled.
"We should go dancing. Like a nice night out, don't you agree?" She asked.
"Well, you just reminded me. My father is throwing an event in a few nights with a bunch of famous people. It's glassy with champagne. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, will you be my date for this ball?" Adrien bowed.
