7|| Trouble

It was now close to the end of winter break; everyone was still in shock from events caught on the news with two sets of Ladybug and Chat Noir fighting off Queen Wasp. Things had been quiet the last two weeks since the event, but the protectors of Paris have kept things in check.

"Good morning, Tikki," Marinette mumbled. She turned but didn't seeTikki lying on her pillow like any other morning, "Tikki?"

"I'm over here, Marinette." Her kwami whimpered.

She climbed the ladder to see the polka dot kwami lying on the desk, looking like she was in a lot of pain, "Are you okay? What's wrong?!"

"Marinette, kwami can only get sick once in their lifetime, but it lasts for a few weeks, and that kwami can't fule a miraculous during that time. So, this, this is the time I got sick." Tikki explained.

"How do I fix you? I mean, is there even medicine for kwami's?"

"There is one in the spellbook. But, you won't be able to be Ladybug for a while." Tikki explained. 

"What?! How am I supposed to save Paris if I'm not Ladybug?!"

"I can call out a special lucky charm to make you have an object like your yo-yo to capture the Akuma, but you'll need to find a temporary miraculous to use."

Marinette pulled out the miracle box, and Mullo flew out of the mouse necklace.

"Ladybug, is something the matter?" Mullo asks.

"I'll need to use the mouse miraculous for a little while."

"Tikki, is this your time?" Mullo gasps.

"It is; you need to fill in for the time being, friend."

Mullo nodded, "I'm ready for action, Ladybug."

"Mullo, get squeaky!"

After transforming into Multimouse, Tikki placed a part of her lucky charm magic in Multimouse's tail so she could capture the Akuma at the end of a battle. The tail was much like Ladybug's yo-yo and Queen Bee's stinger, so it was perfect for fighting and placing the magic. With that magic, it would be like her average yo-yo and less risky. The mouse miraculous was in the top ten rankings of powerful miraculous and one that Marinette had used before when Kwami Buster captured Tikki and Plagg.

"How am I supposed to explain this to Chat Noir?! He knows Marinette is Multimouse!"

Luka also knew, but that wasn't Marinette's fault entirely. She did tell him, but that was only after he took her diary and read a section that said:

"I wore the mouse miraculous and got Tikki and Plagg back from Kwami Buster. Chat Noir had a shocked look on his face, though. Like he had no idea at all it would be me. So I took off the miraculous in front of him, and his jaw dropped."

There wasn't much else he saw nothing that could reveal her identity. It started an argument between the friends, though. Marinette had left it open before he got there, and when Luka saw it on the desk, he read the small part before she saw it and slammed it shut. Of course, then she would have to explain being Multimouse and make up a story about Ladybug giving it to her, but it helped not raise any suspicion for her true secret identity.

Marinette looked at all her photos of the spellbook and made the medicine Tikki needed. It was a shame, though; Tikki would have to rest in the miracle box until she was fully recovered. She also decided it was risky enough not to have Ladybug powers, so it would be wise to give some people their miraculous for the time being. That day, Multimouse made her way around and dropped off the fox, turtle, and snake at the owners' houses. There were also unique magic charms that were given to restore everything to the way it was; these types of power transfers could only be used when a kwami was sick.
