Six Months ago:

"Hey, Princess." Chat Noir whispered as he climbed through Marinette's window.

"Why are you here?" A sleepy Marinette groaned.

"Because you like my company." The cat smirked.

"Lay down, or get out."

Chat Noir pulled the blanket over him, and Marinette turned to face him.

"What time is it?" She whispered.

"Early."

Marinette grew irritated, "I asked the fucking time, Chaton."

"Midnight."

Just that alone made Marinette wide awake, and they leaned in to hug him, "Happy birthday, Chat Noir."

Adrien's birthday was a week ago, but he wanted to celebrate with Marinette as Chat Noir, so he chose to space the dates a little. Marinette made him a basket of baked goods and custom shoes with designs he liked for Adrien's birthday. He loved the gift and even wore the boots the next day.

Marinette quickly climbed down the ladder and turned on her room light.

"What are you up to, M'Lady?" Chat Noir questioned. His cat ears flopped over as his head tilted to her sudden burst of energy.

Marinette's eyes widened at his nickname; it was a shock every time she heard that name out of her superhero costume, "I'm giving you your gift now so we can sleep." She brushed off his previous comment.

"We? You've let me stay the night a few times now. Are you taking a liking to me, Purrincess?"

Marinette scoffed, "That's one of your gifts."

"I'm happy with that." He nodded.

She happily climbed back to her bed and sat beside Chat Noir.

"Open it." Marinette smiled.

A blanket with "Charming Chaton - M" and a box of his favorite macarons was sewn on the bottom.

"You spoil me, Princess." Chat smirked.

"I'm glad you think that was spoiling. I didn't even spend a dime. Can I go back to sleep now?" The tired girl yawned.

The two lay down facing each other. The more they hung out, the more Adrien fell in love with Marinette. At school, he would blush just looking at her and feel happy at the thought that he would knock at her window in the evening. For Chat Noir's birthday, he asked Marinette to spend the whole day with him, and she gladly granted him his wish. It all started with him staying over after receiving his gift.

"Marinette?" Chat Noir whispered.

"Yes?" She sleepily responded.

"Thank you." He smiled.

Marinette leaned in and hugged her partner, "I'm glad you're here."

"Is that so? Does that mean I need to be around more?"

"Yes. Plus, the magic in your suit makes you warm and comfortable to fall asleep next to." Marinette mumbled.

"So we're close to being on the same page? I can take that as a win for now." Chat smiled as he hugged her back.

They fell asleep after a few minutes of talking. Marinette and Chat Noir had become closer over the last few months, and his feelings for the girl quickly grew more robust. Of course, Marinette had multiple guys chasing her, but she knew Chat Noir was a good friend and someone she could always trust. Yes, there were times when she had considered there could be something between them, but that was all crazy talk, and according to Marinette, "He doesn't like me that way." So she stuck to her previous feelings/opinions of him. They would fight villains together weekly, but something was different about Chat Noir. Maybe it was because he was romantically over Ladybug, but she missed the old way her partner would act. The central part was Chat Noir gave Marinette a level of comfort that nobody else could bring her, and if there were any messed up situations with them, it wasn't like Chat Noir would tell anybody, right?
