Jenna POV

Meet me out at the clearing in 10. Go out the gate and follow the trail. -Tay

The note was written in Tay's careful writing on a bright pink sticky note. I looked at same and she seemed to have the same expression I had on my face.

"Tay is a mysterious one," she shrugged.

I smirked at her and started to make my way over to the gate. I was about a meter away when I heard someone yell my name.

"Yo Jen! Where you goin’?" Dakota appeared a bit drunk.

"Tay told me to meet her at a clearing nearby," I said while I tried to stifle my laughter. His drunk face is just priceless.

"She loves you bro. Like she really fucking loves you," he slurred slightly. He suddenly grabbed my shoulders and looked at me with serious eyes.

"Don't let her go, J-Jenny. It'll kill her," he burped then waddled away.

I turned back to the gate and opened it slowly. I took a deep breath before stepping out into the darkness. I couldn't really see much, but I did find the trail that Tay was talking about. It lead to an area where the trees seemed to form a canopy over my head. I started to follow the trail, the earth beneath me had grown hard from the weight of people that have walked on it over the years. I didn't know how long I would be walking for, but I just did what Tay said to do. After a few minutes, of walking slowly in the darkness and looking around, I came across the clearing Tay was talking about. I saw her squatting down near the edge of the clearing, staring out onto the lower part of the overlook. The mild breeze started to hit my face, but the temperature had warmed significantly since the afternoon, which was weird. I started to make my way over to Tay and knelt down next to her quietly.

"This has always been my favorite part about coming to Jordan's house. At sunset and sunrise, the view is the most beautiful thing anyone can lay their eyes on...Besides you of course," she said softly.

She looked up at the sky and took a deep breath. "If I could count the stars, the number of them in the sky would never come close to the amount of lifetimes I will love you," she said as she finally looked up at me.

Her eyes were bright and shimmering in the moonlight. As she stood up, it seemed like she was trying to hold back some tears.

"I've been waiting for you to come and sweep me off my feet for so long, I just didn't know it. You tamed a lion that could rip your head off and made her want to tip other people's heads off for you," she stood up from her position and took my hands, pulling me up with her.

"I know you're worried about what will happen to us when you leave. Well, I’ll tell you what's going to happen. I'll keep loving you with all of my heart and all of my being. I will forever be yours, I would rather die than be without you. There were times where I wondered if I could do it, be with just you, but then I realized that you're worth it," the words coming from her mouth were like poetry that dug deep and tugged at my heart strings.

Tay took another deep breath and pulled something out of her pocket. "I know words don't mean shit unless they're backed up with actions so," she opened the box in her hand and revealed a beautiful ring covered with black diamonds that shimmered in the moonlight.

"I want you to take this as a promise. As long as you wear this ring I will forever be yours. No bullshit, no playing, no games. I want you to be mine forever. We will come together again soon, I can promise you that. I love you Jenna. As long as the stars shine, I will love you with all their intensity," she sipped the ring on my finger and looked up at my watery eyes.
