Jenna POV

Tay was just there staring at the ground. She looked like she was thinking very hard so I just stood there are awkwardly until she snapped back. It actually took the ding of the lift to get her to speak.

"Sorry, I'm just, just thinking I guess," she said

"I can see that," I smiled.

"Look I'm sorry about last night, I had been drinking and I apologize. You probably don't even roll that way so I jus-"

"It's fine. I 'roll that way' I'm just not a fan of sleeping with someone I hardly know, Taylor," I cut her off.

She took her head to the side a bit and smiled.

"So can we start over?" she asked.

I eyed her and analyzed her. I know girls like her. She can try, but babe it won't be easy.

"Of course," I smiled cheekily

Her face seemed relieved and so we both walked to the venue.

Sounds checks are the most annoying thing ever, but we got our buses today which is great. Strangely enough, I got the middle punk as always. I went outside and sat against the bus with my hands in my pockets.

"Hey," Dakotah leaned against the bus with me.

"Hey D,"

"You know Tay has a thing for you, right? Like a really big thing,"

"I know. But aren't you observant?" I teased.

"I sit back and listen. I don't talk much but I've got lots of knowledge," he said as he looked off in the distance.

"Then you should about the type of girl she is," I said.

Dakotah looked at me curiously.

"She's the type of girl who's so used to getting what she wants, the type who will have sex with a girl just because she can. She's the type who will get what she wants without giving a fuck about what the other person feels," I sighed.

"I'm guessing you have experience with that type," he turned towards me.

"More than a person should," I took a deep breath.

"So you're not going to go for it," he said more than asked.

"I don't know. Originally I thought no, but when I saw her in the lift staring at her phone, I saw this smile, a smile that just drew me in. It was the most sincere smile I had ever seen, it made all of me smile. I know how she is, but for that one moment, I wished that she was smiling because of me," I said.

"So you'll just go with the flow?"

"Yeah, I'll see where the current takes me," I smiled at my own ocean reference.

In the venue, I heard Tay singing. It sounded amazing even though she was just messing with her vocals. She finished testing the mic and I clapped loudly.

"Simply amazing, Miss Jardine,"

"Thank you, thank you," she bowed.

"I don't know anyone who could do it better," I teased.

"I do," she winked at me. Okay, that made me blush a bit.

The tech guys said we were done with the checks so we went over to the alley next to the venue and sat on some crates against the wall.

"So I have a tactic that will help us get to know each other better," Tay said.

"What's that?" I asked curiously.

"Let's play 20 questions. I ask a question then you, and we continue like that until we reach 20,"

"Okay, that's interesting," I said.

"I'll start. What's your full name?"

"Jenna Rachael Mcdougall,"

"Interesting," she laughed.

"What's yours?" I asked.

"Tay Kathleen Jardine," she smiled.

I rolled my eyes and smirked. "Nice name, Taylor," I shrugged.

"What's your favorite TV show of all time?" she asked excitedly.

"Definitely Friends," I answered.

"You're good Mcdougall," she said.

"Favorite food?" I asked.

"Oh man. Hitting the hard ones already. I don't know, everything?" she laughed.

"Nice answer," I giggled.

We went on like this for a while. I learned a few things about Taylor. Apparently she has a brother and is a twin, which is interesting. I also learned she loves the Lion King and is a sucker for a good romantic comedy.

"When did you know you were into girls?" she asked.

"Oh I always knew. I just really embraced it when I was about 16 and in an all girl school," I shook my head at the memories.

"What about you?" I asked.

" It was my Senior year of high sxhool. We were playing truth or dare and I had to kiss a girl, and well, I loved it more than any kiss with a guy," she shook her head.

"What do you look for in a girl?" she asked almost immediately.

"Well eyes are the window to the soul, and a smile is the reflection of emotion. Honesty, chemistry, lighthearted but serious, understanding, not embarrassed or me, and well, a good heart and nice peesonality. Ooh and a sense of humor is always great," I said

"Okay so eyes, smile, honesty, get along, silly but swrious, understanding, proud of you, nice, not a prick, and funny. Got it," she smiled. I laughed.

"What do you find most attractive in a girl?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"I like when a girl can get my attention without being too revealing. But you know, I love books and butt, but eyes are probably my weakness. Yours are gorgeous by the way," she said. I'll admit, that was pretty smooth.

"You have one last question," I said.

"Ooh, hm. When was the last time you kissed someone?"

"Oh long ago. Maybe a year or two," I said.

She looked surprised.

"When was the last time you were truly happy?" I asked.

She got a thoughtful look on her face. I hit the spot.

"I uh, I-" she stuttered.

"Hey guys group meeting," Cameron called us in.

We stood up and walked towards the door. I looked over and Tay seemed to be hugging herself. Seems I got what I needed to get.
