Namjoon looked at Jin very nervously. His eyes held a thousand apologies, and Jin started to get a hint as to why when Jackson began to speak. "What's up, loser?" he said. A chuckle followed and the oldest could swear his eyes turned red for a second.
Jin didn't respond. Don't give in, he told himself. It'll only encourage him more. He just stood there, looking at the both of them. He gave Namjoon a short nod before tightening his backpack straps and turning to walk away.
"Not so fast," Jackson said, pulling the hook on Jin's backpack. It caused him to stumble a little bit. Not exactly a little bit. He fell backward onto the floor, the only thing supporting him was his rock-hard backpack. He squinted his eyes from the impact. The only thing he saw when he opened them was a teal-haired boy who held the same apologetic expression as before. "Namjoonie, what should we do with him?" Jackson asked in a sweet voice.
Namjoon finally erased the sorry look on his face when he looked up at Jackson. "He hasn't done anything wrong yet," he stated. "We shouldn't hurt him,"
"That doesn't mean we can't have a little fun," Jackson said suggestively. Namjoon shook his head.
"I'm leaving Jackson, and you're coming with me. You shouldn't be torturing anyone unless you know that they did something to you," the teal-haired boy said.
The two boys walked off, but not before Jackson could punch Jin square in the face. Namjoon looked at him and mouthed 'stay here'. Jin stayed and soon saw the younger boy running back. Namjoon grabbed Jin's wrist and lead him to the school's bathroom.
Jin was surprised when Namjoon pulled a First Aid kit out of his backpack. His nose was bleeding and there was a bruise forming on his face, along with another bruise on his leg from the fall. Luckily, no damage was done to his head. Namjoon grabbed a few paper towels to help with the nosebleed while he got out the supplies for the bruises.
"I'm going to cool them so that they won't hurt, alright?" Namjoon asked. Jin nodded and let him put the paper towels under the sink to wet them. He placed it on one of the forming bruises and Jin flinched a little. "Are you okay?" He asked, his face full of concern.
Jin nodded his head. "It's a little cold," he answered. Namjoon went right back to work.
After he finished cooling the bruise on Jin's leg, Namjoon stood up to deal with his face. He removed the paper towel to check Jin's nose, and it was almost done bleeding. He began to cool the bruise.
They stood so close to each other that Jin finally got to look at Namjoon's face properly. He sat there for a second, just admiring the boy's features until he almost slipped from the sink he was leaning against. Namjoon caught him by lightly catching him with his hands on Jin's waist.
Both boys looked stared at each other in panic before realizing what state they were in. They were breathing heavily from the sudden event and could feel each other's breath against their mouths. Jin felt the need to be even closer, but he wouldn't let himself ruin something that (might have) just started. Namjoon cleared his throat and stepped back.
"Would you maybe want to go get lunch off-campus tomorrow?" he asked. Jin nodded and they both left the bathroom.
