"Happy Birthday, Husband." I heard Kiara's voice. She kissed my lips and I opened my eyes. I gripped her waist and she straddled me. I pulled her in for another kiss, to which she complied.
We returned from India the day before yesterday. We celebrated Karva Chauth there and now are back in Pennsylvania.
"I've prepared a special breakfast for you. Go take a shower." She said as she got off me.
"This is the best birthday morning." I said and she gave me a heart-melting smile. I am not kidding, I could really die for her smiles.
"Thank you, coraźon." I gave her a hug and she kissed my cheek in return.
"Now, come on. Everyone's waiting for you downstairs." She said.
"Everyone?" I questioned.
"Ma, Dad, Savannah, Jack, Xavier and Janet." She replied and I nodded my head.
I quickly took a shower and changed into a pair of jeans and top. I walked downstairs and saw everyone sitting on the dining table. They were busy in their talks and didn't take notice of me. I stood there for a solid minute just smiling at my family. They were all so happy, conversing amongst themselves and having a good time.
Personally, the best gift for me is my family's happiness. Their smiles and laughter means more to me than any expensive gift in the world.
"Here he is." Xav said and I walked towards them with a wide smile. I took my seat at the head of the table and soon the servants kept our breakfast plates on the table.
"You made this?" I asked Kia.
"Yup. Enjoy, birthday boy." She said and I nodded with a smile.
The servants placed our glasses of juice in front of us but the glasses were champagne ones.
"What's this?" I asked.
"I mixed orange juice with champagne. Birthday Mimosa." She said. Mom's and Savannah's glasses had normal juice because they aren't allowed to drink but Kiara didn't have the mimosa too.
"I don't feel like drinking." She said and I nodded.
"Here's to my dear son, Daniel. Happy 31st Birthday." Dad proposed a toast. We all cheers to it and took a sip of our drinks.

"Is this party really necessary? I'm okay with celebrating with just us." I said but Kiara shook her head negative.
She has thrown a big party for me at our home. We got ready at mom's apartment and now have reached pour home. We got out of our car and she wrapped her hand around my bicep. She leaned on my shoulder and gave me a smile. I smiled at her too and kissed her forehead.
"It's your first birthday as my husband, of course I'm celebrating." She said and I nodded, surrendering to my wife's wishes.
"Happy Birthday!" Everyone shouted as soon as we entered the main hall.
All my family members and Kiara's close relatives were present here along with my business friends, acquaintances and co-workers. Our house was decorated in beautiful and subtle way. It all looked so good and my heart swelled at my wife's efforts.
"Thank you so much for all this, coraźon." I said and kissed her temple.
"You're welcome, marido." She replied. (Husband)
"Let's cut the cake. It looks so good. Kiara made it specially for you." Xavier said and I nodded my head with a big smile.
We all walked towards a table placed at the centre of the hall. It was a blue gazed, vanilla flavoured cake. It looked so good and I know just by looking at it that Kiara put in a lot of effort in making this.
"Thank you so much for this, Kia. This gift looks beautiful." I said as I looked at her. She was standing beside me, clicking pictures of me, the cake and the family members.
"You're welcome but this is not your birthday gift." Kia said and before I could ask what's the gift, Xav cut me.
"Cut the freaking cake, Danny Boy. It looks so delicious, I might as well eat it without waiting for you." He said and I nodded, chuckling at his comment.
I cut the cake and fed the first piece to Kiara. She cut a piece and fed it to me. It was delicious.
"This is the best gift I got today." I said but Xav again interrupted me.
"I gave you a Bugatti Divo." Xav said.
"Shut it, Xavier." Janet poked him in the ribs.
"I love you the most." I said but she shook her head sideways.
"Not for long. There's someone who you're going to love more than me." She said and I cocked an eyebrow up.
"You're going to be a father." She said and my heart almost exploded with happiness and excitement. I wrapped her up in my arms and hugged her tightly.
"This is the best gift ever." I said and Xav pouted.
"Here's, to you guys. Daniel and Kiara Reynolds." Jack proposed and we all raised our glasses.
"Daniel and Kiara Reynolds!" I and Kiara clicked our glasses together and had a sip.
