It's a blessing and a curse to feel everything so very deeply.

Outfit.

"God your going to get me fired at this rate," Pete laughs as we walk down the hall to Chase and Maddie's apartment.
He was meant to be in a zoom call for work but in defence he said it wasn't important and I did tell him he didn't need to come.
"Well then at least you'd be free to spent more time with me," I smirk.

We're greeted by most of the group as we walk in and sit on a spare couch, music videos playing on the big TV. I'm hoping Pete is becoming more comfortable with everyone now, of course I'm not expecting him to be their best friends but just so he can be himself and relax around them.
Rudy, Drew and JD are seated on one couch whole Mads and Chase sit on another.

We're all joking around and I can tell that Pete likes them, I can't work out who's his favourite yet but it might be Rudy. We're all laughing at something Pete said when Maddie grabs the remote and turns the volume up.
"Ugh this is MY song!" She grins as 'golden' starts playing on TV. Harry comes onto the screen running around in the white shirt I'd picked out for him.
Pete immediately gives me a look, wondering what was going on; I could tell he didn't know whether to laugh or not.

"Sorry Chase but I think I'd leave you for Harry if the offer came up," Mads laughs as she sways along to the song.
"I wouldn't even blame you," he laughs looking to her.
"Elaines already said she'd do the same about me and honestly I'd be telling her to go for it," Rudy smiles. "I mean no one can compete with Harry Styles."

Pete can't control his laugh making everyone give him a funny look

Pete can't control his laugh making everyone give him a funny look. He looks to me and I raise my eyes trying to communicate.
"Oh they don't know," he tries to say quietly but fails, before attempting to calm his laughter down.
I just sit awkwardly smiling, stroking Pete's hand hoping they won't ask questions and we just move onto another topic.

Of course, Madelyn doesn't let it go and pauses the video.
"Pete please tell me you like this song," she dramatises.
"Oh no, it's erm great, just not a fan of the video," he says giving a convincing smile.
"Thank god," she giggles, "I was thinking we weren't going to be friends for a minute. Even though the videos the best part," she adds.
