Heedlessly,Anjali pursued them to Aaryan's room, the nurse pushed the squeaky door open and stepped aside. All of them entered the ICU simultaneously, and Anjali stayed close to the door witnessing the scene that followed.
As soon Aaryan noticed Mr.Singhania he was first shocked,he gaped, his eyes expressed astonishment, and he just stared blankly, then in a raspy, barely audible voice,he said."Dad..?"
Mr.Singhania dashed to his bed and hugged him,"Aaryan..Oh..",his voice trembled and he couldn't say anything for a moment, the women stood on the other side of the bed,she kept stroking his hair, and pulling him to her bosom, she embraced him tightly and planted a million kisses on his head,"My son,What-happened to you.",she hiccoughed".Look at his state.Ashok...Who did this to you.?We are not going to forgive them.My boy,Don't worry..We -are -here",she said between her sobs.
"How are you bro..?",said a pretty young girl, with dark brown hair, hanging loose, with the same blue grey eyes which was so strikingly similar to that of Aaryan's.Needless to say,she must be his sister.
Aaryan looked from one person to another, surprised, taken aback, but liking all the love and attention of his family and atlast he said."How did you know I was here?"
"The police informed us.."
"Only one visitor at a time, the patient is still critical.",the nurse announced.
By now it was clear that Mr.Ashok Singhania was Aaryan's father and it slowly registered in Anjali's brain that the patient on the hospital bed was noone ordinary...He was Aaryan Singhania..a Singhania,a billionare, and with this realization her world came crashing down.
She reclined against the wall to steady herself, and then silently exited the room, leaving the family alone to reunite.
Moving with agonizing slowness as her legs felt like block of woods, she drew herself through the corrider, every step she took was an effort, she finally found an empty waiting lounge, sinking into a chair, she hung her head back in despair,thinking..
The events replayed in her mind..
He said he loves me ...Can it be true..?
How can he love me.?.There must be loads of better girls he must have met.
Afterall He is A Singhania. And What am I?Just an employee working for an organization..There's no match...Impossible..Shit..If only I could have known it earlier...
But I love him...worthless but its real.
Now what will I do?His family will take him along to Delhi..They have their business empire. He will get what he deserves, what he wanted for long.he will get back his family, his real life..his fame and wealth. What about me?I cannot go back to my home.I must stay here..,and watch him go!
I shouldn't have let myself get close to him-in the first place. But I tried my best..Why do I love him..out of all the men in the world..Because I never met anyone like him..Shit!
Why didn't he tell me..I told him everything about me.He should have..God..Anjali sat with her hands on her head..wiping out hair from her face.So many question revolved around her mind. But there was no way out of this mess..certainly.And she was on the losing end.A gripping pain swept through her heart and she could do nothing to ease the tightening in her chest. She was too tired,to shocked to even cry.
Exhaustion made her feel light headed, and dragged down by an irressitible urge to sleep, she lied down there itself.

Some hours must have passed by,for Anjali was waking up from a deep sleep and she could process some voices around her.She opened her eyes to find that it was already dark outside, the fan whining above was making her feel cold.and she was groggy..She yawned as she sat up and adjusted her top.She was still on the uncomfortable bench in the lounge,it was relatively quiet, expect for the two nurses who were talking among themselves at a distance from her.
