"That girl" Chapter 1

Aaryan was getting late for the meeting and he was getting annoyed by the continuous ringing of his cellphone.

Yes, he had been working as the senior manager of a very reputed company HUL (hindustan unilever ltd) since the last one year, but recently he had been transferred to a different branch.He had been insisting to be posted anywhere but his home town, and finally they had to give him what he wanted.

Ofcourse he loved his hometown but the recent turning of events in his life didnot make it much appealing for him to be near his parents.

He had just come out of the elevator when the cellphone started ringing again, he would'nt have suspected anyone else would be calling him at this time in the the morning, other than his annoying girlfriend.she really turned out to be very disturbing at times.

He angrily recieved the call..and almost yelled a "Hello" when she said in a sugary voice..

"Hi baby, good morning!!Sorry to disturb you.."

"When she knew that she would be bothering him, why the hell was she calling him continuously", he thought.

"Are you very busy?Actually I had called to ask which coloured bikini should I wear to the beach party today.Could you pick one out of red, green, saffron or yellow."

" yellow", he replied without even thinking once.

"Thankyou darling, hope you have a great day! umuah", jackline replied.

"You too", he said trying to sound cool and hurriedly he disconnected the call and switched off the damned phone.

He was already twenty minutes late and he expected that the meeting would have already started, but to his surprise, everyone was waiting for him.Nearly 20 people were there.Mostly young men and some ladies too.The meeting hall was large enough to accomodate fifty people.It was according to the etiquettes of office and so were his other collegues.

And when he entered, all of them greeted him..Ofcourse he was posted next to the boss here, and due to some reasons the boss couldnot attend this meeting..so he was like the head now..how foolish was he to forget that.Actually he was not used to stuff like this.When he was at the main branch he had many bosses ordering him and all of them were very strict.He would'nt have dared to be five minutes late then.

All faces in the room were new to him and he was obviously new to all of them because it was probably the third day of his work in this place here.

He remembered he was supposed to address them.

"Hello guys and girls,this is Aaryan Singh.I am here as the senior sales manager of this branch.I am a MBA graduate from Oxford University London and this is my third day of work in this place..so naturally I donot know many of you.But I really hope to know all of you..

As for now we are already running behind schedule, so let the meeting begin", he said with a smile hoping to appear friendly infront of all the other employees.

One by one,all of them proceeded to introduce themselves to him.He shooked hands with them, feeling really relaxed..He was really enjoying 'being the boss' feeling.

Then he noticed that there was a girl,who was busy arranging the file papers ,setting up the projectors and adjusting the lights.She had'nt bothered to come up to introduce herself to him.She was just very preoccupied..and when she came up to the mike to give the presentation, she tried to appear confident, but he could make out that she was very nervous..

"What the hell..he was not going to eat her alive.", he thought and chuckled.

"She looks attractive. Good heighted,wheatish fair skin,young,and not exactly thin,maybe around 22-23",he figured out in his mind.

Definately not like the most gorgeous creature on earth.But she looked very smart and professional.Her hair was tied in a neat ponytail and she was wearing a black ladies coat, black trousers,a red shirt inside, and medium heeled sandals.

"A very hearty good morning to all of you present here, I am Ms Anjali Sah, and I am going to make a presentation here, describing how to increase our product quality and sales.I hope all of you will find it worth your time.", Anjali said with enthusiasm.

All this while she had been successful in avoiding facing her new head..But now, since she was the one making this presentation, it was obvious that all the eyes were either hooked on her or on the white board and screen behind her.So she shut her eyes for a second or two, breathed deeply and then started off..She felt much more confident now..Slowly the nervousness faded away and as she proceeded with her presentation, she could already sense that all of them were genuinely impressed.She mentally thanked god for giving her the mental boost to live upto everyone's expectations.
