Aaryan was awakened by the vibration of his cellphone..He merely opened his eyes to check the time..it was just six... he was feeling so sleepy now.He checked on his cell to see that it was Jackline calling...so he ignored the call and slept again.Five minutes later his cellphone was ringing again.
So he just picked up the call and hung up.
"Baby, good morning..what are you doing?", said a chirpy voice from the other end of the phone.
"Sleeping..I will call you back later", Aaryan muttered in half sleep.
"Oh wait, I have to tell you something important, Its related to your family", Jackline said in a serious tone.
"What..What happened?", Aaryan said as he sat up on his bed.
Jackline kept quiet for a while and then continued..
"Your father will be selling off another ten percent of his company shares today. He says that his poor health doesn't let him manage everything alone. So my dad has opted to buy the shares..you know as they are business partners..he's helping so that somehow, the matters don't go in any foriegn hands."Jackline paused after that.
Aaryan was shocked beyond words. All his drowsiness flew out of the window. He was wide awake as he registered everything that she said.
His father was selling off the company shares..randomly..like this..He found it strange, stupid. Was he out of his mind..Aaryan wondered for a moment. There was no record of their company making any serious losses in last five years. There was no seemingly possible reason why his dad would sell off the shares..all of a sudden..Their industries and hotels had so many trustworthy employees..He was never required to manage anything alone.More so, if his dad was so uncertain and unhealthy to be able to cope with the work..why did he throw his only son out of the house..out of the business. Here he was working day and night to earn his living and make a stand..and there his dad was giving away all the property shares to Mr Khanna..Anger siezed Aaryan as he strolled out of the bed.He didn't even realize that he had disconnected the call..He kept staring out of the window in bewilderment and his mind was flooded with old memories.. of how his dad approached him before making a slightest descison...even when he was just a teenager. He knew he was special..by the way his dad treated him , it made him feel so proud ........what had he done to betray his trust?..where had he gone wrong?...these questions and thoughts literally tore him apart.
He forced his mind to shun off this unwanted retrospection..At this moment he had more significant tasks at hand.He would be leaving for Mumbai in a few hours and he was desperate to win the contract..he wanted to prove himself,to ascertain himself of his capablities and self worth. This success was really necessary for him now...to help him build up his self-confidence again.
The weather outside reflected his mood.It was dark and gloomy. The cloudy skies suggested that it was about to rain sooner or later.
He gathered himself to prepare for the long day ahead. After having a shower, he dressed in a dark grey coloured suit piece.Getting ready took him no longer than 15 minutes.
Then he ate his breakfast , while he swiped through the daily newspaper, but soon he gave up on eating the tasteless oatmeal and left for office..approximately an hour before the general office time.
On reaching office..he was surprised to find none other than Kaira already waiting for him in his room.It was rather too early for her to be in the office..she was usually late and yesterday she had taken a sick leave....though nothing about her convinced him that she was actually sick..she was in her usual sexy avatar...short dress, high heels and fake smiles.
"Good morning Sir", she said happily, to which Aaryan just nodded.
"Why are you so early today?",Aaryan asked.
