That girl-who changed my life

Introduction Chapter 2

She had come to the office very early that morning so that she could check on all the details of her presentation.She had worked very hard for nearly one week to make an efficient presentation.She just wanted everything to be perfect.

She sat in front of her laptop nervous,and anxious,literally bitting her nails,while rummaging for some documents, and when she heard that a new head was going to preside over the meeting she felt like she had butterflies in her stomach.

And then he entered, Mr Aaryan Singh, the new senior sales manager.

Anjali looked at him in awe.

He was very handsome,fair, nearly 6 feet tall, slender,stately,his dark brown hair was neatly coiffed, and he looked like some business tycoon.He was wearing formal a black suit with a white shirt inside along with a blue stripped tie.He had a damn good personality.She expected her senior to be a middle aged man, but to her surprise her boss was totally a contradiction to what she had expected.He was not more than 26-27 years old.What impressed her the most was his qualification.At this age he had already completed his post graduation (and that too from her dream college), and was currently the head of this branch.

This gave her an indication that it was not going to be a child's play to impress him and that tormented her even more.

So she decided to avoid meeting him until the meeting was over.

Only when her presentation was over, and everyone was applauding her, could she feel relieved.She felt like a great burden was removed from her shoulders.

She never used to panic in performing any challenging task, be it anything, but this was the first time she was addressing so many people, and it was quite natural for her to get nervous.

Anjali climbed down the slightly elevated platform and switched of the projectors. Then she proceeded to introduce herself to her new boss.

"Hello Sir, This is Anjali Sah,Software Engineer , Technical Department (HUL).I am extremely sorry that I didn't meet you earlier this morning", Anjali said,trying to sound pleasing as she held out her right hand for a handshake.

"Its nice to meet you Miss Anjali, and I know you were very busy before the meeting, so that's not a problem",he said while he shook her hands.

"I am quite impressed by your presentation, it was an effective one.You took care to explain each and every point minutely, all your databases, quantitve descriptions and the result analysis were very accurate.It is really extraordinary for a girl of your age to make a presentation with such detailing.Well done", he continued, while still holding her hands.

This was exactly was Anjali had been awaiting since the morning.

She wanted to make a good impression infront of her boss and she was somewhat successful in doing so.

"Thankyou sir", she said with a polite smile.And with this she withdrew her hands from his grip.

He also seemed to notice that he had been holding her hands for a long time so he hastily removed his hands ,putting them back in his pockets.

Aaryan was genuinely impressed.

He could'nt have even imagined that a girl that too so young could come up with something like this.

"She must be really very talented and hardworking", he thought.

Throughtout the day Anjali had been smiling from ear to ear and anybody could make out that she was brimming with happiness.

"So congratulations, keep up your good work", Tia said.

Anjali was so engrossed in typing something that she had barely noticed Tia's entry into her cabin.
