Kim's POV
"Munchkin what is on your mind?" Damon asked me concerned.
"Nothing." I mumbled. looking away from him.
"It isn't nothing. You haven't been listening to a word I've been saying." He pouts.
I look down at my hands and fiddle with my fingers.
I listen as footsteps stop in front of me and he lifts my chin up, letting our eyes meet.
"I'm not going to stop asking until you tell me."
I shake my head and let out a long breath.
"Just some girl at school, nothing big." I reply quietly.
"What happened?" I can see his grin falling and turning into something of anger.
"Promise me you won't do anything absurd." I ask him looking into his eyes, hoping he'll understand where I'm coming from.
"I'll try. Now what happened?" He repeats.
"Some girl pushed me and I fell...Then she called me weak and pathetic and..." I hesitated before continuing, "she said if I was you and I knew my self worth, I'd stay on the ground."
Everything goes silent and I look up at him to see him thinking. He then looks into my eyes and kneels down in front of me placing a hand on my knee.
"You know none of that is true. My sister is one hell of a person. Better than some Barbie wanna be who brings others down for a living. Don't listen to her." He tells me sincerely.
I throw my arms at him and hug him tightly. "Thank you Damon. You always know how to make me feel better" I laugh a little.
He smiles and pulls apart. "Now, how about those s'mores? I'm going to teach you the ways of Damon's famous baking!" He grins widely and I laugh.
"No I'll see how bad you really are at baking." I comment, rolling my eyes.
He frowns and tosses a marshmallow at me. "You'll see." he turns around and grabs the Hershey's out of the bag.
"Kim? What's on your mind?" Oliver questions and I freeze up for a bit.
"Nothing, just thinking." I reply and continue placing down the silverware.
James told us to set up the table for a special occasion. He said he would tell us what it is all about after we finish setting things up.
I really want to know so I rush to do things quickly.
"Are we all done?" Oliver questions while looking around.
I glance around the room once, "Yup! Now tell me what's happening!!" I pout while frowning.
"I know James said he'd tell you but I guess I'll just do it." He grins, "so later-"
"Stop right there." James shouts while walking into the kitchen. He stops for a second while taking in the view of our work and turns to me.
"Well done little sis. Now let me tell you what's happening." He states while turning to glare at Oliver.
"Hey! I helped too." Oliver adds, walking over to me and putting an arm over my shoulder.
"Oh right I forgot you were there." James comments, a sly grin pulling onto his face. I giggle to myself when Oliver looks down at me with a death stare and I stop, looking away quickly back to James.
