Chapter 33 - Saved

I continue staring at floor and them. Tears eventually stopped falling from my eyes and my face feels dried up.

I hear shouting and gunshots from outside but I don't care.

How can I care when I can't feel anything right now. I've lost too much and it hurts.

How many more people am I going to lose?

I hear grunting and loud ruffling coming from the hallways and gunshots coming closer. Well if I die, I love you brothers. I hear footsteps running this way and it stops at the door.

I turn to the side and see...

Bella?

She comes over to me in shock but freezes up but when she sees the two bodies in front of me.

Leo enters the room behind her and freezes up too. I can feel their stares burning into my side as I turn away and look at granny again.

Some part of me keeps hoping she'll wake up. Every part of me wishes that none of this ever
happened.

"Kim-?" Bella whispers and knees down beside me. Tears starting to well up in her eyes as she looks at granny on the floor.

I look up at her and then at Leo and then back to granny.

"I-I couldn't save her. I couldn't save him." I whisper hoarsely.

They look at me in sympathy.

"Look Kim, we need to get out of here, there might be more men coming. The rest of your brothers are outside." Bella says as she trys to pull me along but I don't budge.

I CANT leave her here.

"I-I Can't leave her..." I wept as everything starts flooding back to me. Bella moves to sit in front of me blocking my view of the bodies.

She wipes my tears and pulls me in for a hug. I cry into her shoulder as Leo watches.

"I'm so sorry Kim, I truly am. But we can't stay here, we have to leave." She tells me again and I shake my head pulling away.

"No no, I can't leave!"

She looks up at Leo and he nods coming towards me and pulling me up.

He pulls me towards the exit and I scream as I see my grandma and Damon getting further and further away.

"No stop! I can't leave her here! P-please don't make me leave her." I scream as I reach for her but Leo keeps pulling me further away.

"G-granny! Don't make me go!" I sob as my heart feels like it's being torn apart. My insides all tied up and my body can't control itself. The water falling from my eyes nonstop.

I kick but I can't get away.

Everything hurts. I Can't take it...

My vision begins to go blurry as I say one last word and everything goes black.

Leo's POV

I feel her stop kicking and moving and I look over to see she passed out.

I lay her down for a second as Bella catches up and I wipe sweat from my head.

2 hours earlier.

James gathers us all together. They eventually let me come with as I kept annoying them till they did. I don't give a fuck that I'm injured, I'm going to be there to save my sister.

Fucking great part is Bella didn't take no for an answer too. She's stubborn. Now I know why her and Kim are friends.

"This is the location. We need to make a perimeter and narrow it down to one room. We will search each one. I'll assign a hallway to each of the groups and which people will be staying outside. Understood?" He orders and everyone nods.
