Hotch found someone new. She had to except that. Wether she wanted to or not.

Even though she was dancing with JJ and Garcia she still couldn't help but glance over to Aaron and Beth

"Emmy!" A voice pulled her out of her thoughts
"Dance with me" the boy asked tugging lightly on her dress

"Of course Jack Jack" Emily smiled and picked the boy up

Aaron Hotchner couldn't help but look over the brunette that he was dancing with shoulder. An infectious laugh rang out across the dance floor. Emily's laugh, one he would never forget

"Daddy! Look" he turned his head to see Emily spin his son around
He missed being apart of moments like these. All three of them. Together as a family.

He hated himself so much for the pain he caused her. Right now he really regretted bringing Beth. They weren't even a couple.

"I'm going to go home" Beth told him simply
She knew he was still deeply in love with Emily. She couldn't compete with that.

"Mind if I cut in?" Aaron asked his son

Jack nodded ecstatically, while Emily was a little bit more hesitant. She set Jack down and Aaron immediately pulled her close to him. Taking her left hand in his right and placing his other on her lower back

"You look beautiful" he whispered. As much as she didn't want to admit, he made her feel safe. She hadn't felt like that in over 9 months. Ever since Doyle, she had been running on little to no sleep, she was constantly aware of her surrounding and it ultimately led to the end of their relationship.

"Thank you. You look handsome" she smiled not looking at him

"I've missed this" he admitted squeezing her hand
"We aren't dating. I hope you know that" he added referring to Beth

"Oh" she replied, she felt a relief wash over her

"You're surprised" he said more as a statement than a question

"I am" she answered leaning loser to him

The pair continued dancing for the next 30 minutes until the music sped up. Aaron took her by the hand and led her towards Rossi's garden

Keeping his left hand in her right, he brought his left one up removing the hair that were covering her eyes. Leaning in he met her lips, softly kissing her. Emily removed her hand from his and brought both up to hold his face, she kissed him passionately.

"I still love you" Aaron revealed when they pulled apart slightly, but still holding each other under the dimly lit Willow tree

"I never stopped" Emily replied kissing him once more

"I hope... I hope I just gave you a reason to stay" Aaron said hopefully, his heart shattered when Strauss informed him about her resignation earlier on in the evening

"More than one" she answered hearing Jacks giggles from afar

"Let's go home" he whispered against her lips

Emily only nodded, the pair separated not wanting to draw the attention away from JJ and Wills night. Jack was stay with Dave for the night so Aaron planned on showing Emily just how much he missed her.

After saying their farewells they met in front of Rossi's house and climbed into Aaron's car. He held her hand the whole time.

A bright light woke her up the next morning, a unusual warmth alerted her, only for her to remember the previous nights events. Turning in his arms, she smiled when she saw he was already awake

"I'm staying" she confirmed kissing him tenderly

Aaron Hotchner was now the happiest he had been in a long time. He made quick work of getting her underneath him before they continued their passion from the night before.
