"Come on"
"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Aaron said impatiently as he pulled on her sheets. Seeing she wasn't making any attempts to get moving he pulled her dark covers off her bed only leaving her body covered by the dark red satin set of pajamas. He swallowed at the sight.

"I swear to god if it isn't at least 7 then you're dead. Homicide is justifiable" she mumbled into her pillow

"Relax, it 7:40" Aaron replied
"Now get up" he added grabbing her feet so she would think he was going to pull her off the bed

"Okay okay okay, I'm up" Emily sighed with a frustrated groan

"What happened to paperwork?" She asked as she was existed her bathroom a few minutes later, this time with her hair up, sunglasses on her head and her running clothes on.

"Well, Strauss comes back next week. I don't want her to be bored" Hotch replied with a wide smile on his face

Shaking her head they left her apartment and made their way to his car.

••••••••••••

"Jesus Christ" she breathed out heavily as they were approaching the last stretch

"What? I thought you could handle the challenge"
"Who's cocky now?" Aaron replied with a smirk as he sped up

"Ouch, oww. Damn it" she cursed bending down to sooth her ankle

"Em? What's wrong, what happened?" He asked crouching down next to her, rubbing her back unconsciously

"Yeah I'm okay, your ego might not be though" she laughed as she sped off and crossed the finish line leaving him standing rooted in his spot astonished

"Prentiss" he said but she cut him off

"Oh, you're hitting me with a 'Prentiss' now that you lost" Emily joked

Shaking his his head he jogged up to her lightly shoving her to the side as a joke

"Sore loser I see we are Hotchner" she smiled widely causing him to flash his dimples

"Come one, you're buying me a coffee" Aaron told her as he threw his arm around her neck, holding her to his body and guided her through the park

"You wish"
A comfortable silence came across them, the sounds of chirping birds, barking dogs and laughing children surrounded them.
They continued talking through the park and he paid for their coffee, she had tried but her pushed her wallet back in her pocket before she could even take her card out to pay.

"So" she said as they walked back through the park towards his car

"So" he mirrored

"What would the full Hotchner experience be?" Emily asked twisting her coffee cup in he hand

"The 'full Hotchner experience' you've been spending to much time with Garcia" he laughed shaking his head

"You know" she replied as if it had been obvious

"No Emily. I don't know" Aaron chuckled

"If we were on a date, what would we do? Where would you take me?" She smiled tooling at him as they walked under the trees

Smiling back at her, he finally took in what she was wearing. A deep blue long sleeve top paired with a puffer vest and leggings which outlined her muscles perfectly.

"Hotch?"

"Yeah sorry, you were saying" he answered his eyes meeting hers

"The 'full Hotchner experience' come on, old man you're forgetting all ready" Emily joked

"Oh right"
"Well. I know it's kind of childish but, mini golfing. I'd take you mini golfing and after we'd get some ice cream and walk through the city" Aaron said without meeting her eyes, he only looked forward, nervous for her reply

"That was quick. You've thought about it" she said more as a statement than a question

"Yeah, I have" he admitted quietly

"I have too" she whispered back, so softly he almost didn't even hear it

Once again a comfortable silence surrounded them. Something about their relationship had always allowed for a comfortable presence.

•••••••••

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow" he said as they pulled up to her apartment block. Reaching to unclip his seatbelt to open the door for her, she stopped him placing her cold hand on his warmer arm.

"Don't worry, I can walk up" she smiled
When she leaned over with her hand still on his arm, for a moment he thought she might kiss him, although she opted for his cheek much to her will.

"I'll see you tomorrow" her hand slid down to his and gave it a gentle squeeze before he moved back and got out the car. As she walked through the entry doors of the building she stopped at waved at him with a smile on her face. Once she was out of sight he sighed and rubbed his temple

When Emily closed her door she leaned against it and let out a heavy sigh. Dropping her keys on the bench she walked over to the large window and frowned when she saw that Aaron's car was still in the parking area, however he wasn't in the car. A knock pulled her out of the gaze outside and a wide grin spread across the features.

"Miss me already Hotchner" Emily teased opening her door

"I forgot something" he replied before cupping both her cheeks. Before she could even blink his lips were covering hers in a passionate kiss. A kiss she gladly returned.
