Henry's summer camp is giving the kids two weeks off, and he's already super bored after being home for only three days. His babysitter comes over on the days JJ and I have to go into work, and he has no problem staying occupied with her, but when we work from home we can't give him the same attention that she can.  JJ and I thought buying him a Switch would be a good solution as long as he had limits on his screen time. So, we all drove to Target today as a family. I pulled a cart out of the carousel and cleaned it off before placing Henry in the seat. I put my elbows on the handle and started walking to the toy section. JJ made us stop along the way when the women's clothing department crossed our line of sight.

She picked out a few tops and piled them in the cart, "You can never have too many clothes."

I contested, "I think our closet would disagree."

"Hey, 60% of that stuff is yours!" I looked down at the floor, realizing she was right. She smiled at her victory and kept walking to get what we came here for. Henry drooled over practically every toy, but we had to draw the line somewhere. I told him he had a $75 dollar limit before picking him up and placing him on the floor to look around.

He was enamored by the dinosaur toys and lectured us on all the species, "Emmy, dats a T-Rex! And look, mommy, dats a Brachiosaurus!"

JJ giggled, "It is? You're getting too smart for me, buddy."

I pointed to another toy, "Henry what's this one called?"

"Struthiomimus!"

I laughed and whispered to JJ, "Having Spencer Reid as a live-in uncle really pays off I guess, huh?"

Just then, a woman's voice at the end of the aisle caught our attention, "What's this I'm hearing about Spence?"

JJ turned her head and suddenly smiled, "Elle!" She ran over and embraced the woman in a hug, "Oh my god, Elle!"

She chuckled, "Hi, JJ!"

JJ turned to the side and introduced us, "Emily this is Elle, she used to be with the BAU!"

Elle shook my hand, "Nice to meet you, Emily! Are you with the unit now, too?"

JJ answered for me to clear any confusion, "No, Elle, she's my girlfriend actually."

Elle nodded, "Oh my apologies. What do you do, Emily?"

"I'm a pediatrician downtown, I have a clinic in GW Hospital." Henry ran over to us from down the aisle, "Emmy, can I have dis one?"

Elle giggled, "Who's this little guy?"

JJ pulled Henry over and smoothed his hair out, "This is my son, Henry... Henry can you say hi?"

He shyly replied, "Hi"

Elle knelt down to his level, "You're such a cutie! How old are you, Henry?"

"I'm thwee"

"Three! You're so big! Whatcha got there?"

He held up his toy, "It's a Protoceratops!"

Elle stood back up, "Don't tell me this is Spence's kid? Because I'd believe you if you said he was."

JJ giggled, "No, Elle, his dad and I aren't together anymore..." JJ went on talking to Elle for about ten minutes while I helped Henry pick out some toys that were within his $75 limit. He ended up choosing three dinosaur toys and one small Lego that I told him I'd help him put together. Once JJ was done talking, we made our way over to the electronics. Henry was in heaven. We picked out a blue Switch and I let him choose a few games to go along with it. I bought myself a PS4, since Derek and Spencer said they'd play with me.

When I put it in the cart, JJ asked, "Where are you gonna set that up?"

"I'll connect it to the monitor in the loft."

"The TV or your desk?"

"Hmm..."

"The correct answer is 'desk.' Please say desk."

"Okay, desk... why?"

"Because we already have like 40 things plugged into the TV up there! There's too many wires, it looks messy."

I kissed her cheek, "I'll set it up at my desk to keep you sane."

She smiled at me, "Thank you." Henry was now sitting in the cart, the big part of the cart, mindlessly trying to read about all the new toys and games he's getting.

I asked JJ, "Do we need anything else while we're here?"

"I don't think so." I turned the cart around and we started to walk back to the front of the store. JJ stopped and stepped to the side when she saw the lingerie.

I rolled my eyes, "Jayje, you said we didn't need anything!"

She whined and started looking through the racks of panties, "But these are all on saleeeee!" I gave in and let her look through the aisles as I watched Henry. He was too enthralled by his toys to care that I was there. JJ walked back over holding two sets of panties.

"What do you think of these? Which one?" I pointed to the ones on the left, a simple set of boy shorts in a few colors. She set them in the cart, "Good, I need more pairs of boy shorts anyway."

I picked up a set of black and red thongs that was nearby, "How bout these, too?" I wiggled my eyebrows up and down.

JJ put her hands on her hips, "Seriously?"

"You say you can never have too many clothes clothes, well I say you can never have too many thongs!" She grabbed them from me and checked the size before throwing them in the cart. I gasped, "Really!?

"I like making you happy"

"Good because your ass definitely makes me very happy." We checked out at the front register and hauled everything into the car. Once we got home, Henry brought all his new toys into his room to introduce them to his other toys and I headed upstairs to the loft space.

I was lying on the floor under my desk on my back when JJ came upstairs, "Emily?"

I called to her as I was messing around with outlets and plugs, "Yeah?"

She walked over to me and set a plate on my desk, "I brought you a snack... How's it going in here?"

"Not bad... I had to move around a few things to make room in the outlet," I scooted out from under the desk and sat up to look at what she brought, "What'd ya bring me? Oooo charcuterie!" I took a piece of salami off the platter and stuffed it in my mouth, "Thank you baby."

She ruffled my hair and scolded, "Don't talk with your mouth full"

I nodded and swallowed my bite, "Is Henry bored of his toys yet?"

"Far from it, I think they'll keep him occupied til college."

"You feeling okay?"

"I feel fine, why wouldn't I?"

"No reason, just checking in." She kissed my forehead and left to let me get back to setting up the PS. I was so excited to finally get my hands on one of these and only hoped it wouldn't become a new addiction of mine.
