You Complete Me [Jemily]

Emily's gonna be here in exactly one hour. I used my computer at work to look up what movies are playing and the showtimes. I heard Garcia's heels clicking toward me as she approached my desk.

"Ahhh, she's gonna be here soon! Are you excited?"

"Excited, scared, nervous... mostly excited."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. She called me last night and it was so nice hearing her voice again. I wanna see her"

Morgan sidled up to us, "Whatcha talkin' about ladies?"

I cleared my throat, "Oh, umm... nothing. It was nothing"

Garcia whispered to me, "You don't wanna...?"

I shook my head, "I don't know, it's different."

Garcia assured me, "He won't care"

Morgan questioned, "What's going on, guys?"

I stammered, "I uh I... h-have a date"

"Oh?"

"She's gonna be here in an hour... probably gonna wanna meet you and the rest of the team"

Morgan smiled, "Sh-she?" I nodded shyly. He patted me on the back, "Good for you, Jayje! What's her name?"

I blushed but happily grinned at him, "Her name is Emily. She's a pediatrician downtown."

Reid walked over, "Who's a pediatrician downtown?"

I answered before Garcia could, "My date tonight, Emily."

Reid had a more awkward response but with good intentions, "O-oh, I uh... I didn't know you were... are-are you...?"

I shrugged, "Don't know. All I know is Emily's very sweet and I really like her"

Reid smiled, "Well that's great, JJ, I'm so happy for you! When can we meet her?"

"Uh, today actually... she's picking me up here in about an hour. We're gonna go see a movie."

Garcia chimed in, " Yes and speaking of which— what movie?"

I turned back around and pointed at my computer so she could look, "These are all the ones playing at the time we'll be at the theater..."

Garcia exclaimed, "Ooh, ooh! Go see Game Night! I saw it last week— it was pretty good." Garcia explained to me what the movie was about and it sounded appropriate for a second date so I agreed. Emily arrived at the BAU about 5 minutes early, but she texted me ahead of time so she didn't catch me off guard. When I saw her walk through the glass doors and into the bullpen, I called her over.

"Emily! Over here!" She headed toward me when she saw where I was standing with Garcia. She looked really good— she was wearing tan slacks with a black button-up tucked into them and black vans— casual but still refined. I'm glad I decided to wear something more casual today too, because if I had to go to the movies in heels I'd be miserable.

When she approached me I flung my purse over my shoulder and she asked, "Ready to go?"

"I think so."

She turned to Garcia, "Nice to see you again Penelope," she looked back at me, "Are any more of your team members here? I'd love to meet them"

I smiled and called the guys over, "Yeah, sure... Spence! Morgan!" They made their way over to us, "This is Emily, Emily these are two of my team members— Spencer and Derek"

She shook their hands, "It's great to meet you guys, JJ's already told me so much about you!"

Morgan joked, "Eh I hope blondie isn't badmouthing me to her new sweetheart"
