Chapter 1 - school day

No one's POV

"Marinette!!" Tikki yelled in attempts to wake Mari up. "You're going to be late for school!". Mari heard her loud and clear, but she didn't have it in her to get up just yet. "5 more minutes Tikki" Mari said in a raspy voice. For the past few months, Marinette hasn't been acting like her bubbly self, everyone at school started to notice that something was off with her and some of her close friends had reached out and tried to offer some advice, but Mari just denies that anything is going on.
17 minutes go by and Marinette is still in bed, "Marinette!! School starts in 5 minutes you need to get up!" Tikki yelled while nudging herself onto Mari's forehead. Finally, Marinette sighed and sat up at the ledge of her bed, letting her legs rest on her ladder.

Marinette POV

Everyday feels so difficult, it takes everything out of me to get out of bed in the morning, I don't even remember the last time I showered or even combed my hair. After I was put in charge of protecting the Miraculous, my life as Marinette has become too stressful to handle. I made my way down the ladder and walked over to my closet to pick out something to wear. Tikki was standing on my vanity trying to de-clutter my table. She is an amazing friend to me, and I'm so grateful to have her in my life, but sometimes I wish that I could go back to being just a normal girl, maybe then my life as Marinette wouldn't be so complicated. I decided to put on a pair of black sweats and Jagged Stone hoodie, he was my favourite singer. I get dressed and walked over to my vanity, I wasn't going to wear makeup today but the eyeliner I had on yesterday is still painted on my eyelids so I clean it up a bit. "Marinette you are going to be late again!" Tikki said, I quickly finished up my makeup and threw my hair up in a messy ponytail before making my way over to the trapdoor. I grabbed my backpack and threw it over my shoulders before making my way downstairs.

No one's POV

Marinette made her way out the door, forgetting to grab anything to eat and started walking to school. She was already late so she tried her best to get there as quickly as possible. After a couple minutes we made her way up the steps so her school and walked inside.

Marinette POV

I walked into school, late as always and opened the door to my home room class. Everyone was already seated in their regular spots so I made my way over to Alya and sat down next to her. "What happened to you girl??! You look like you haven't slept in days!" Alya said. I knew that she wasn't exaggerating, I haven't been able to get enough sleep recently because of all the akumas Hawkmoth caused. "I was up late last night thinking of a plan to tell Adrien how I feel about him" I lied. Alya sighed "you make too many plans girl! Just be yourself and I'm sure he will like you" I smiled and pulled out my math textbook from my backpack. We have a test on Monday so we were told that we could have the period to review all of the material. ⚠️akuma alert! New akumatized Villan has appeared in Paris⚠️ perfect timing, I thought to myself. Ms. Bustier let everyone out shortly after the alert was sent out so I took the opportunity to transform into ladybug. I grabbed my books and ran over to the bathroom and hid in one of the stalls. TIKKI SPOTS ON! I yelled.

No one's POV

Ladybug runs out of the bathroom and uses her yo-yo to swing over to the roof that Cat noir and her normally meet up at when there is an akuma.

Ladybug POV

"No need to use all of your energy for this one M'lady" Cat says, "Mr. Pigeon again?" I ask? Cat nods and then extends his stick allowing him to jump onto the next building. I follow him and we make our way down to where Mr. Pigeon is standing. "Ladybug! Cat noir! Give me your miraculous or else all of these pigeons will leave their waste on all of these cars!" He yells, I look over at Cat waiting for him to give me a sign to use my power, "go ahead M'lady, let's just get this over with" Cat says. "LUCKYCHARM!" I call out, "CATACLYSM!" Cat says. The plan wasn't too difficult so we quickly defeated Mr. Pigeon again and then I fixed all of the damage caused by the pigeons. I made my was over to Mr. Ramier and helped him up. He thanked Cat and I for saving him again and I swung my yo-yo around the closest building and made my way back home.

No one's POV

Ladybug jumps onto her balcony and de-transforms back into Marinette. She opens the trap door and flops into her bed.

Marinette POV

"Well that was a useless morning" I thought to myself. "I got ready to go to school just to have to defeat an Akuma." I remembered that I haven't fed Tikki yet after I de-transformed so I reach into my purse and pull out a cookie and hand it over to her. "I think you should go eat something too Marinette!" Tikki said, she was right, I was in such a hurry to get to school I forgot to grab any breakfast. I sat up and made my way downstairs to the kitchen. My parents were in the bakery working on a cake order so I didn't want to bother them with breakfast so I decided to have a bowl of frosted flakes.

No one's POV:

Marinette ate her cereal and then put the bowl away in the sink. She made her way back up her stairs that let her in her room and opened the trapdoor.

Marinette POV

Since I wasn't expecting anyone today and my parents are busy in the bakery I took this as an opportunity to let out the kwami's from the miracle box, it must get kinda boring in there all day so I try and let them out whenever I can. I press the black circle at the top of the box and all of the kwami's come out. "You guys know the rules, you can be out of the box for now but when I or Tikki tell you to hide, you go back in okay?" I look at them with a stern face and they all nod and start playing around with my computer. Most of the time they like watching Netflix on there or playing video games, so I just let them do whatever they want. I felt exhausted from being up most of the night so I told Tikki that I was going to take a nap and to keep an eye out for anyone. She nodded happy and I climbed up the ladder to my bed and I laid down falling asleep within minutes.
