Chapter 3 - Horror movies

No one POV

Mari and Cat walk over to where Andre is set up today and they get their icecream. Mari's dessert had two scoops, one was mint and the other peach. Cat noir's icecream had three scoops, strawberry with black chocolate chips, blackberry and blueberry. The two of them walk over to the stairs on the right side of the bridge and sat down to enjoy their icecream.

Marinette POV

"Andre's ice cream's are supposed to represent who your true love is, I wonder what our colours mean?" Cat said. The both of us spent some time looking at each other's desserts, but after a couple minutes we decided to just eat them before they melted. "You know Cat, I don't remember the last time I had icecream, I mean sure I've had icecream cake on my birthday but it isn't very often that I go out for icecream" I said. Cat smiled, "well then I'm glad that I had the honour of getting icecream with you purrrincess" Cat said. We spend some time talking to each other but then decide that we should go back to my place and watch a movie.
Cat stands up first and then puts his hand out to help me stand up.

No one's POV

The two of them started to walked to Marinette's house and reached the bakery doors quite quickly, considering that her house wasn't too far away from where Andre was set up for the day. The two kids walked through the door, stopping to say hello to Marinette's parents. It was pretty busy at the bakery so they decided to just head up and not bother them.

Cat noir POV

Mari and I walked up the stairs that led to her room and then opened the trapdoor to get in. "We can sit on the couch if you want, we will be able to see the tv a lot better from there then on my bed" Mari said. I nodded and sat down on her pink couch. "What kind of movie do you wanna watch Cat?" Mari asked. I remembered one day in school I overheard her talking to Alya about how she hated horror movies so I took this as the perfect opportunity to watch something scary. "Horror" I said with a mischievous grin. "Cat I hate horror movies! I can't sleep at night after watching them!" Mari said. "We can have a sleepover! There was already an akuma today so I'm sure we will be safe from them tonight" I said trying to contain my excitement.

Marinette POV

I like the idea of having a sleepover, usually it's just Alya that stays the night, but what could the harm be of Cat noir sleeping over? I mean he is my partner in crime and all. "Okay Cat, you can sleep over if you want, just no pranks! I know you too well" I said. "Deal!" Cat noir replied. "Before we start watching any movies I should go let my Kwami rest, I haven't had the chance to feed him yet" Cat said. Shoot! I haven't fed Tikki in a long time either, I thought to myself. When Cat noir goes to feed Plagg I will do the same for Tikki. "You can go grab anything you want from the kitchen downstairs and help yourself, there is something in the fridge for Plagg as well. I will go set up a good movie in the meantime" I said. Cat nodded and he made his way down the stairs to go feed his hungry Kwami. When I was sure that he had made it down the stairs I opened my purse, letting Tikki out to feed her. "You totally forgot about me didn't you" Tikki said in a sarcastically stuck up voice. "I may have gotten a little carried away" I said with a small guilty laugh. I cradled Tikki in my hand and walked over to my vanity drawer where I kept extra snacks for Tikki and the other Kwami's and I set her down on the table letting her choose what she wanted to eat. While tikki was snacking on a cookie, I turned on my TV and looked through some horror movie options on Netflix. I wasn't sure what Cat wanted to watch so I decided to just leave the TV on the home page.

Cat noir POV

I close Mari's trapdoor and I walk into her kitchen. When I was sure that Mari wouldn't come down I de-transformed back into Adrien. "You better have something good for me to eat" Plagg said in his annoyed voice. "You're always thinking with your stomach, aren't you?" I said to him with a smile. Plagg's eyes were quickly drawn to the fridge and he flew through the door. "THEY HAVE CAMEMBERT WITH MY NAME ON IT!!" Plagg yelled out in an overly excited tone. I thought my kwami was joking when he said that it had his name on it, but it quite literally did?!. On the top of the smelly cheese, there was a little pink sticky note, and written on it was "for Plagg, family do not touch". This made me smile, "she must have remembered the conversation I had with her on her balcony a couple weeks ago when I told her about Plagg" I thought to myself.

No one POV

After The little kwami had finished filling up his stomach, Adrien called out the words to turn him into his super hero self, Cat noir. It was around 4 pm at this point so there was still quite a bit of time before Mari and Cat would get ready for bed. Cat noir headed back up the stairs to Marinette's room and like a gentleman, knocked before opening the trapdoor.

Marinette POV

I could hear Cat walking up the stairs so I quickly told Tikki to hide. I expected him to just open the door once he reached the top but to my surprise, he knocked. "You can come in kitty" I called out to let him know it was safe to enter. What I had said hadn't clicked until after I heard Cat open the door and say "kitty? That's new". SHOOT! I've felt so comfortable around Cat noir that I guess I let my ladybug side slip out. "Haha well, umM.. you see you call me princess so I thought it suited you!" I said nervously trying to cover up my mistake. "No worries little lady, I think that nickname is purrrfect" Cat replies. Phew, I thought to myself. "So I was looking through the horror movies and I realized that I have no clue what you like, so I just left it on the home page so you can choose something you wanna watch" I said. Cat noir smiled and took the remote from the table into his hand, he ended up choosing some kind of movie about a doll. I climbed up onto my couch and I patted the spot next to me allowing Cat to take a seat. Cat noir sat down and pulled the throw blanket I had folded at the end of the couch over our laps. It was hot outside, but who watched movies without blankets?? ESPECIALLY horror movies.

No one's POV

About 20 minutes into the movie, Marinette started to get more and more freaked out, at one point she even put her knees up to her chest and hid her face into the blanket. Cat noir noticed her distress and he put his arm around her to try and calm her down. Mari didn't notice Cat motioning towards her and when he touched her shoulder Marinette screamed and almost fell off the couch.

Cat noir POV

I noticed that Marinette is really not liking this movie at all so I try and comfort her by putting my arm around her but I end up scaring her. "AHH CAT NOIR I SAID NO PRANKS!" Mari yelled in a panicky voice. "I wasn't trying to prank you Mari I wanted to cuddle with you." I said in an apologetic tone. I could tell now that Marinette wasn't joking around when she said she doesn't like horror and I honestly started to feel bad for suggesting it in the first place. "Why don't we watch some other show instead? I already watched this movie anyway" I said. Mari nods and sits back down where she was originally positioned before I accidentally scared her. I turn off the movie and I scroll through the other show options and turn on a random comedy show. I didn't really care what we watched as long as it helped Mari focus on something else. "Is it okay if I wrap my arm around you?" I ask her in a soft voice, I could tell that she was a little spooked out rn so I wanted to try and make her feel safer. "Yeah sure" she replied while looking at her feet. I wrap my arm around her and she rests her head on my shoulder, I could feel her heart pounding underneath my hand.

Marinette POV

Cat turned on a new show for us to watch, I'm not quite sure what is happening since there is no volume on it and I haven't really been paying attention. Cat has had his arm around me for the past 30 minutes, he is such a sweetheart, even though he nearly made me fall off the bed. I started calming down soon after I cuddled closer to him. As ladybug, I really only ever saw Cat as flirty and kinda annoying sometimes, but when he is with me, I mean the real me, he is so sensitive and comforting to be around. I was really tired since I haven't been able to get much sleep recently so it wasn't very long until I found myself falling asleep on Cat's shoulder.

Cat noir POV

I could feel Marinette's heart rate slow down to a normal speed after a little while, I look down to see how she is doing and I realized that she fell asleep!? She looked so peaceful when she sleeps, like an angel. I was exhausted from fighting akuma's the night before, and since Mari was kinda sleeping on my arm, I decided to rest my head on hers and take a nap with her.
