Nayuna

Nayuna watches as the Koldred dump a small, but bulky sack on the ground at her feet.

"Well?" she asks, peering at the sack with a critical amber eye. The question sounds rhetorical if it were not for her icy and harsh tone of voice.

"We've done as you requested, my Lady," the Koldred leader says, bowing its huge head. "Though the need to rip this one's limbs was quite tempting to my brethren. One is in the dungeon right now awaiting your judgement."

Nayuna nods, smirking, unsurprised by the answer, knowing that the doomed Koldred would have two of his fellow comrades 'guarding' him. "You have served me well. As a reward, you may take your pleasure for as long as you wish."

The Koldred barely contains an evil grin and bows eagerly, its head nearly sweeping the floor.

Nayuna briefly returns it, before bidding the Koldred to take its leave. She can hear its eager thundering footsteps echoing off the stone floor before fading off into the distance that would soon be filled with screams and roars as they ripped into the limbs of their companion.

Such is the way of the Koldreds.

Nayuna turns her thoughts back to her own task and kneels down to drag out the contents of the sack.

It is a young girl with dark hair and fair skin.

Naria's human sister.

The girl moans and turns her head to one side, her eyes opening. Her eyes are a pale violet with long dark lashes.

"Where am I?" she whispers, her voice hoarse, her body struggling to sit up. She sways for a few seconds, nearly collapsing again. She touches her blood encrusted head, almost instinctively, unable to hide a pained cringe.

"You are in Orkdurun," Nayuna replies, her face close to hers, almost a breath away.

The girl whips her head around. Her eyes widen at the sight of the Dark Sorceress. "Who are you?"

"I am Lady Nayuna, ruler of Orkdurun," the Dark Sorceress says by way of introduction.

The girl's eyes widen in fear. "Are you going to kill me?"

"Not yet," Nayuna says, by way of cold comfort, a small smile on her face, her amber eyes icy.

"Then why am I here?" the girl says, her violet eyes darting back and forth.

Inwardly, Nayuna rolls her eyes as she watches the human girl try to find some form of escape. But a small,  cruel smirk finds its way across her lips, baring her teeth.

Because in Orkdurun, there is no escape. Whether alive or dead.

"Because I need you to do something for me," Nayuna says, bringing herself back, wiping the smirk off her lips. Her amber eyes bore into the girl's violet orbs.

"Whatever it is that you want, I will not do it," the girl says, stubbornly.

But Nayuna senses fear in the child's tone. That alone brings a sense of satisfaction and another inward smile.

"I know you won't. But I'm sure that I can persuade you to think otherwise," the Dark Sorceress purrs.

The girl is silent, her body trembling. Then Nayuna mutters something under her breath.

"What is your name, child?" she asks by way of politeness.

"Kirena," the girl says in a strained voice, like she is being forced to say it.

"Kirena. What a beautiful name. You may prove to be of great use to me," Nayuna says, her smile becoming a smirk once more.

"I'm privelleged to be of service," Kirena says mechanically, her eyes almost glazing over with the spell overpowering her. "What is it you wish to know?"
