Nayuna

Back in Orkdurun, Nayuna is still smiling. Smiling in utter satisfaction and delight.

She's found her. She's found her sibling.

Remembering her sister carrying a young human girl on her back, brings a smile to her face as she saw Naria and her human sister fleeing into the Sasgen Woods.

Fleeing from a burning village that is now charred ashes and remnants of wood, bones and lives.

Nayuna's icy amber eyes gazes out at her vastly forbidden territory, a satisfied smirk on her face. Her blood red lips curl back, exposing her white teeth.

The moon is full, the sky midnight blue with cold glitter-like stars. Clouds surround the moon like wisps of smoke. She hears an owl hooting and an answer from another fellow owl. She feels the wind on her face as she looks out the open window. She spreads her arms out on the sill, her chalky fingers curled against the cold ancient stone.

At last I have found her, Nayuna thinks, smugly. Now, all I have to do is get her to me. But the question is how do I do it?

She frowns at that, her smile fading slowly at the thought. She senses that her sister will not be foolish. Or not quite foolish. Given some time, her sister will learn sooner or later of who she is and more importantly of what she has done.

Naria.

A beautiful name, she thinks, broodingly. She is as beautiful as her name.

How ironic, she muses, that she should be named after one of their earliest ancestors.

I wonder, Nayuna muses, with a hint of amusement and curiosity. If her name is just coincidental or is it just fate for her to bear the name of one of the founders of Crystined? Did our parents think it be a fitting name for her?

For the briefest of minutes, it seems as if the Dark Sorceress that is Nayuna stops thinking of her dire thoughts and dreams. For the briefest of minutes, it's as if she's the woman she once was. Nayuna frowns, the image of Naria portraying in her mind.

From brief memory, she's small with waist length snowy curls, pale alabaster skin and wise metallic gray eyes with long lashes. Her full lips are the typical silver as it goes with their kind.

A hard resounding knock comes upon the door, echoing across the room with an intense rumbling sound.

"Enter," Nayuna says, turning away from the window. She shoves her sister out of her mind and inwardly reminds herself of her current position.

A Koldred steps in, crouching down before straightening up. It adjusts its neck, the bones cracking loudly. At full height, the creature is roughly seven feet tall. Its blood red skin glistens with sweat. Its claws are sharp and polished to an off white. Its teeth are starting to yellow and are sharp as needles, expelling a breath as foul as its scent. Its spiked tail swishes back and forth restlessly.

Nayuna wrinkles her nose instinctively at the stench the Koldred carries, but briefly.

"My Lady Nayuna," the creature says in a rough gravelly voice. Its white eyes look down on the Dark Sorceress, its voice full of respect, its eyes downcast in obedient servitude.

"Have you located her?" she asks, looking up at the creature, her neck craned back. A breeze blows, carrying the Koldred's stench away.

Nayuna takes a deep audible breath, trying to keep the fresh air within her without tainting it with the Koldred's foul death like odor.
