Once we entered the cafeteria I felt all eyes on us. I continued to pull Liam next to me toward the table where my friends and I sat. I could hear all the girls whisper things about Liam and myself. Let's face it, it's not every day we get a new student in our school. We do live in a small town and everyone kind of knows everyone.
As we continued to walk towards the table, a presence that I was hoping to avoid today stopped in front of me. "Who's this? Your new man? Is he the one you dumped me for?" He asked rudely.
"Gael, you know that's not why we broke up. Please just leave me alone." I said, trying to walk away.
"Then why are you walking around the whole school holding his hand." He said pointing down at our interlocked hand. While trying to pull me towards him.
Liam slipped his hand into mine protectively.
"Ow Gael let go! You're hurting me!" I yelled.
Just then I felt Liam grab me and placed me behind him as he swung and landed a punch on Gael's face.
I let out a surprised gasp.
"Next time when she tells you to let go, You. Let. Go." Liam said as he reached for my hand and gently pulled me away.
"Are you ok?" He asked, "You don't look so good."
I felt a sharp pain in my chest as I tried to get words out of my mouth. "I'm... Fi..." everything went black...
